I hit 45mph comming out of the blue hills on this.

It was rolling on 26" bicycle street tires. No problem.

Do whatever you like. I don't spend much time pleasing The Nanny.

Wow, that is insane. Nice build!

My buddy built that, not me.

My best guess is that I hit 45. The guy with the cyclecomputer hit 38 on this

I left him way far behind.

I don't really care if you think I'm full of it. I'm the guy that's out there getting it, not sitting at home telling others to be safe or not have fun.

Single coaster, baby. It's the only way to fly.

I'm sure you're going to have fun. Have you seen the cool pictures of old trike racing where there's a guy in the back hanging way out to compensate for turns because a trike can't lean? Looks like a blast.

I lived in Vail, CO and took the Mtn bike up the lift and rode it down dozens of times and hit 40 mph on dirt. Far more concerned about my balance than the tires. never blew one out

I think it is pretty funny when a guy who lives in a state with no noticeable elevation is estimating DH speeds. Hell, back in the day on a headshock/hardtail bike Missy Giove could hit over 60 at east coast races.

45 is not unrealistic. Crazy on THAT contraption, but doable. :)

That thread got moved. Odd.

grip throttle with integrated kill switch.

I am on the fence about the seat. It is the original, and is comfy, but is ugly as sin.

The problem is the rear seat stays are bolted to the pan, so I would have to either build a seat or take one apart to redrill it. I did that on my truimph, and (not being a seat builder) I never did get the the cover to fit quite right.

Not sure. I have to put on and tension the three chains, wire it up and give it a shot. Then we see what shakes loose.

Why not just re-cover the seat?

3 chains...why...is it a 3x3 3wheel drive  .......................................

Just busting...would be cool though if it was possible :hhmm:

That thing needs a banana seat from the 1970's. Not gonna be too ludicrous if it doesn't have a goofy seat!

One drive chain from the cranks, one from the motor, and a third to the rear wheels. Although 3x3 would be awesome.

Sadly, only a 1 wheel drive.

I am on the hunt for a seat, I guess.

I might be able to help you out with a seat. This guy up the street from me has approximately 500 old bikes in his yard, and probably has a huge seat from the 70's on one of them.

whatever you could find would be fantastic. Thanks!

I would love a springer seat, as I think this thing being full rigid is going to be a bit rough.

Nah...skip the banana seat, just get a nice kid potty seat cause riding that at any kind of speed and you'll be s#@%ing yourself...:grinpimp:

Its way cool, I love it, but had to throw that in there!

I have a bicycle bell on my motorbike.

Banana seats are great, except for sitting on. The holy grail of banana seats (can you out-nerd me?) is the Troxel TGO. They're as good as ever a banana seat came, which is to say, not that great. There was a more narrow version, the TN and the small, the SM, but all available in lots of colours, as long as you like sparkley.

How do the three chains work? I had a beautiful idea of having a four speed with coaster with no cables but it involved three two speed kickback hubs and three chains.

that thing is odd. Cool, but odd.

Here is a pic of the sprocket set up. Please excuse the crappy cell pic, my cell does not know what to do with a shop light as a light source.

Left is motor, right is cranks. Motor chain is a standard 420 chain, and the crank side is a standard SRAM bike chain.

The rear is not crooked, just looks it in this pic.

This thing is gonna be sweet.

Got a name picked out for it yet?

How about Three Handed Meat Grinder?!?!
Or maybe Triple Beef!!! :hillbilly:
