I have agonized over this decision for quite some time. Body color, black enamel, or Monstraliner on my dash. Well, I tried the black auto enamel from a rattle can and hated it. I am too impatient to wait for my body shop to paint it along with the full rig. So that left me with the Monstraliner kit sitting on the shelf. I had purchased the kit a few months back for my now de-"parted" rig so I decided to give it a try.

I taped up the edges to match the previous liner laid down by the PO and mixed up the product. The first coat went on nice and then the roller started breaking apart leaving remnants in the second coat. I had read this in a previous post so I was not too alarmed. I planned on using the scouring pad to remove the remnants and then apply a third coat with a fresh roller. Once I got it cleaned up I really liked the way it looked. The texture blended in real nicely with the dash knee pads and the body liner so I opted to leave it be.

Here are a few high resolution pictures of the dash. I like how the silver pops on the dash.

Looks good. I like monstaliner because of the fact that it offers smoother texture compared to other bedliner.

Using a flat roller would eliminate more texture. The scouring pad gave it a slight texture that wasn't so pronounced. I like the way it came out.
