Integrated my Yeti Lithium 1000 inside the vehicle. The yeti will be charged by the vehicle alternator for ultra fast charging. Now, I can have all the 12v needed for fridge, electronic and 120v gadget.

This setup is portable as I can easily move my yeti to a different vehicle as needed.

Perfect setup in my opinion. These have been perpetually out of stock for a while so I’ve been getting by with a 400 lithium.

I learn from a friend. He customized van (sprinter) and he highly recommend this setup.
I have try using solar, car charger (cigarette plug) and 110 charger. They can’t charge faster enough. I previously has a MPPT module, but after camping in the wild, solar can only charge slowly. I swap the MPPT module with Link Car Charger module.

Nice to see a yeti link charger in the wild. 50 amps of charge speed is blazing!

Great looking 200! I have a roof rack and snorkel going on this week (hopefully) —also in MA... Any feedback on how the ditch lights have worked for you?

Nice. Glad you line up someone/store to help you on your installation. Are you using a specific shop in near Boston?

I just got the ditch light installed on last Friday. No real trail use as of yet. Soon, I'll get a chance to use it and report back. I have used ditch light on my overland travel and normally used it during night time on my Toyota Sequoia, not my LC200. Same LED light from BD. It's a great addition to light up the surrounding at night time. I just replicate the setup to my LC. As I mention here, you do need to modify the plastic cowl as the bracket will interfere and cause the hood out of align. I use dremel to remove some plastic material.

Yes, going with Roko —thanks for the suggestion!

If you have a chance to post more pictures (or send them) I would love to see the light output from the BD’s and the trimming required on the cowl.

Thanks again!
Chris

How's the ride with the Ironman set up? The sale they have at the moment is tempting. I don't have extra weight at the moment and I don't want super harsh ride until I add more weight.

Love the build. I like the idea of charging the yeti with the alternator. How difficult was it to cut through firewall and bring the cord to the trunk?

I use the existing hole where main wiring harness come into the driver side. It’s not hard to route the cable over the firewall. A razor blade to open the rubber gourmet. Driver side is less roomy as the main car harness is there. Passenger side has more room. Then remove the trim along the front/rear door and route the cable along the side of the car wiring harness.

Great. Thanks!

The ride is good and firm. I really can't compare with other setup. As of harsh, I personally don't think it's bad, but rather huge improvement over oem suspension.

When I purchased my vehicle, the oem suspension is original. The ride was very bouncy/floating, or may refer to luxury. I don't like it. Ironman FCP setup help me to firm up those bouncy/floating feel.

Regards the sale, ironman 4x4 setup is the cheapest one on the market. Solid product and I would buy again.

It’s been more than a month since my white beast undergoes some transformation. It’s back on the road with 2” lift & no KDSS lean. Braking is a huge improvement with EBC brakes upgrade, fresh fluid & SS brake hose.

A few more install & before 200LCDC event. Can’t wait till end of July.

Gorgeous setup - curious what is your height in inches from the ground to the top of the roofrack?

Survived my first LCDC and put 5000 miles on the ODO. I’m truly impressed how the LC perform off-road. The suspension soak up all the bump easily and make it really fun to drive fast on dirt (kind of like rally style).

Here is some pics from the trip.

Only problem found. I lost 2 caliper mounting bolts. One at the trail and one on the highway. I’m luck out to find out early on the trail and able to do a temp trail fix till I hit the town. At the town, I’m able to secure the right bolt so I can make my 2000 miles journey back East. During my 2000 miles journey, another bolt went missing. But I carry a spare (due to part purchase come with a set instead of individual), I stop at a rest area in CT and able to put the spare bolt to use.

my guess is the mechanic never torque the bolt according to spec. Well, I’m guilty as the mechanic of my own rig.

Overall, 5000 miles trip and many trail miles. I’m impressed with how my LC performed and gradually put more trust on the rig. Can’t wait again to hit some trail again.

Thanks for sharing, some great drone footage there!

I wishes to capture more drone footage, but I finally got my first drone crash. After the drone went crazy and I lost control of the drone. It crashes into a tree. It survived the crash and I spend 30+ mins looking for the drone. Good thing I recovered it and my video is saved. I will try to fix the problem or maybe it’s time to upgrade my drone.

Processing more video. I managed to capture my trail ride up Webster Pass from Montezuma CO and coming down via Handcart Gulch. (See the Narrowed trail with snowpack at the beginning of the descent from Webster Pass)
