I have it Mojave on my 60 shackle reversal and u bolt flip. Install was really easy although the body wasn't on it so ... I will say it wasn't the easiest thing to get it took a LONG time from the time I ordered till I finally got it but over all the quality and experience was worth the wait. I will give you an update on ride when the motor goes back in.

Im considering the Mojave, and would really like to hear a review.

the ride nice and soft, a little to soft with the hardtop on. it steers really good i don't wander on the streets like i use to. you can rip down the bumpy dirt roads nice and comfortably. you only have to extend the front drive shaft, witch ill have the splines lengthened not just the tube for more movement.

Please keep me informed on any changes you'd like to see.
So far I've installed them on 4 soft tops and 1 hard top. The hard top had a stock tire carrier and roll bar so it was close to stock weight. The soft tops had full cages
and our tire carrier (the man-a-fre unit ) so although the weights were close but the hard top adds center of gravity related issues. I'll be putting on the springs to a hard top with my carrier, a cage and rear aux. fuel tank. I'm anxious to see how the springs handle the load

When you say "too soft with the hard top on" are you getting body roll? what shocks are you running?

Id like to see that too as my vehicle will be set up the same way.

I guessing some people might think soft springs have body roll. Outside of an 84 mini truck and a vw bug when I was 16, I've only driven land cruisers and sport bike with regularity. I own a Dodge cummins dually
but it only gets highway miles, usually with a trailer full of parts behind it. So I guess I'm the wrong critic
to ask. I'd rather have the good ride and articulation and deal with keeping my cornering speeds within reason. I post up how the heavily laden 40 does.

ya it quit a bit of body roll more so to the right. almost completely stuffing the rear shock. i have the rough country shocks from the kit

I'm wanting to buy these springs to gain a little more lift and better shackle angle than what I have with some old Skyjacker springs. I already have the MAF u bolt flip plates so I just want the springs and these Mojaves look like the ticket. I was noticing the front springs don't seem to have as much arch in them from MAFs pics. I do not have a shackle reversal and I won't be doing one either. Is this set of springs good to use without a shackle reversal? Will it still sit level or will I not get the fill lift in front if using the stock suspension set up?

Hmmm. I guess I won't be answering the question. I slept on it a couple nights and pulled the trigger on the springs and shackle reversal kit today. So it's all on order. I swore I wasn't going to do this, but looking at it some more it make sense to do the extra work.

Disregard my last post. MAF called back with a shipping quote and they want over $200 to get it to me. I said no thanks, cancel the order please. So it looks like I will never know how good or bad these springs are. The shipping MAF has always charged is outrageous but this is just stupid. I have shipped a pallet of 5 large tires truck freight before for $100 clear across the country.
Guess I'll be trying something else.

What's the deal on the front driveshaft lengthening? I'm seriously looking at the Mojave kit as well but was unaware that a driveshaft modification was required.

because of the shackle reversal it moves the front forward witch makes the front drive shaft having to be longer. on mine it measured out at 30.5" so i had the splines lengthened for more movement. not a problem for a good drive line specialist. im using mini truck splines.

lcwizard; Have you done this spring swap with your heavier cruiser? If so I would love to hear a review and see some pictures? I am looking to buy springs for my '69, hard top, aux tank (and future bumper/tire carrier) and am just sorting through all the posts I can find. Any info is good info. Thanks.

Any new updates on the Mohave kit? I am wanting to pull the trigger but am to worried they are gonna be to soft with my set up. I saw a post that said as soon as the hard top went on the rear springs went flat. Any info would help!!
