The overall gear ratio with Cruiser axles...3.70 being the lowest multiplied by 2.13 of the Mog Portal gives you an overall ratio of 7.88:1 at the ground.

Too low..lower than a Mog axle itself.

No reason to do a hybrid if yoiu want gearing that low in my opinion.

Wow, that is low.............

Guess it would not make a very friendly daily driver.

So your 9 inch has gearing options around the 2.0 variety?

Hmmm, sounds like a good setup.

Off topic, do you think that Sun Ray will be selling those twisties you have in your link system?

I think those are a simple and strait forward setup and I am not a big fan of the heims.

Most of the people that have done toy/mog hybrids tear apart the housings..

IIRC, one of the competition rigs is running minitruck/portals..and having housing issues. Great idea, but the Toy midsections just aren't beefed enuf...

Sunray sells them, yes. $500 will get them....enough for both ends of 4 control arms.

They are the best thing out there for strength, impact resistance and they are quiet.

would the toy housing be a problem with a full floater axle?

Solonoid operated transfer reduction hubs, thats what we need, 1:1 on road, 2 or 3 or 4:1 push of a button, inside the hub, as well as having the transfer case :D

gunna build it for your prado then? that'd show up a few of the hardcore guys that whine about IFS, if you had a system like that

Or how about a 3 speed Atlas or equivalent? Kind of like a big truck browny aux tranny. Under, direct, overdrive.

Not bad for such a great upgrade to my suspension, I like the looks and workings of those tons better than the old heims.

Cheers
