Missing hose coming out of firewall (4 Viewers)

I recently bought a 1985 FJ60 4 speed. This pipe in the picture spews what I think is antifreeze when the engine gets hot. Any idea where it is suppose to be connected to? I don’t see any other missing connection points. The picture is the drivers side firewall.

IIRC it connects to the fitting on the head
if your current connection on the head only has 1 barb then it needs 2
the fitting is in the upper left of the above pic, about 10 o'clock

That pipe is usually left disconnected when the rear heater is deleted.

Do you still have a rear under-seat heater ?

Thanks for the info. Here is a picture of about 10 o’clock, I still don’t see a spot for it to go on. Do I have to add another nipple?

That abandoned pipe just runs behind the insulator on the firewall, and comes out about the same spot on the passenger side.

You don't see where a hose for it should go because the Union (fitting) for it has probably been removed and plugged.

That removed fitting would have been in the cylinder head Union that's attached to the hose from the heater valve. Can't tell if there's a plug in it because PCV hose is blocking it in your pic.

I do have a rear heater still. I’m not sure if it works though. I haven’t tried it. Could I just cap off that pipe or would that cause pressure to build if it’s supposed to be circulating?

Did you make that? What parts would I need to do that?

There's a bunch of threads on the rear heater delete or getting it to work. I think you need to search and read some of them and compare pix to what you have or don't have. I have no idea what's been removed or plugged in your system.

Pictures above are what a stock system should look like. If you're missing stuff, post wanted ad in the classifieds.

There are pipes underneath the truck that run to the rear heater. Are those there? (they're usually removed).

You're going to need to buy a silver star subscription and post more pix otherwise you're limited to 10, I think. It's all just guessing without good pictures.
