Mini truck in Australia??

G'day Guys,
Just wondering what the mini truck equivalent was in Australia , I think it may be what we call a hilux, that would make the most sence.Any Ideas???
Anyway I'm currently restoring a 68 shorty and have a 74 as my DD. Your info and pics on here are an endless help to my messy and wild situations.

Hilux my man! And you're in a better situation, as the "desirable" mini-trucks are the solid front axle models (those are the ones with all the good parts to put on a cruiser basically). The Hilux's available there were available until 1995 (?) with the solid front axle. We got hosed with IFS suspension in '88.

I knew I was confusing it last night. 88 was the last year for the second generation body... I acutally woke up this morning and thought: "crap, I missed that, I need to change it before anyone sees it." Oh well, too late now.

Did I at least get the year the Hilux went wussy right?
