Well, got some stuff done today, nothing major but just one more step closer to getting this rig looking like I want it. Got the newly painted hood, bib, aprons and fenders mounted up today. The color is not an exact match but it's close. The new yellow is "brighter" than the old so the entire truck will be getting new paint soon after the Superlift trip. I am sooooo glad to finally get rid of the fiberglass front end......well, at least got it off the rig. It's sitting in the yard. If I don't get a buyer I may just cut the nose off and make some wall art like the one Larry posted in the other thread. :D Also got the cage all bolted in.

Tomorrow I hope to get the lights, bezel and marker lights mounted up.

It looks great Mike!

That looks great buddy. Nice work and glad to see the fiberglass gone.

LOOKIN GOOD:clap:

will look even better :steer: in R- Kansas:D

Mike, all u need now on front is a winch

Winch is sitting in the garage, a Warn M8000 that I picked up from Layton. The only problem is that the "universal" winch channel is not really universal. So, that is another project that I hope to fix before Hot Springs.
And thanks for the comments on the fenders. I saw pictures of Lance's rig before he bought it and that is kinda what put me over the top to go black on the fenders. When I am done, EVERYTHING will either be black or yellow.

If you can't fix it, I will give you $50 for it that you can put towards the purchase of a winch that will work better for you. I'm being generous here, so take it or leave it.

Mike I still have some extra paint left over to paint your cage green!

Thanks for the offer Ryan but honestly that's way too generous. I think I picked it up at Harbor Freight for $29. And I should be able to fix it with Deryl's expert welding skills put to the test. ;)

And Deryl, I am still thinking about it. I want to park the two rigs next to each other to see what the colors look like together. But then I guess you will be compelled to paint your cage yellow so that we are polar opposites...... :grinpimp:

Mike my cage is already painted and ready for install. So no lellow on my rig.

Oh and I will give it a try on fixing that winch plate. I'm not that great of a welder but I sure as hell a good grinder! ;p

I thought you did a pretty good job welding that cage together. I am not concerned about the looks of it when it is complete.....really more concerned about the function. Oh, and you are pretty mean with a grinding wheel. :D

 I will weld it and I will teach you how to grind!

I get back on the 17th and plan on spending that weekend if the :princess: will allow it putting mean green back together.

Dude, your cage YELLOW would look sweet!!

I like the idea of yellow also. I think it might be better then green!:D
