I have a '67 Toyota Toyoace Quad-cab I bought off ebay. it is a coe (cab over engine) . Currently the seating is tight. The engine sits under the front non-moveable front seat. I was just going to remove the old engine and drivetrain and put in a '85 drivetrain, moving the engine back 1.5 feet under the rear seat, but this would give me a really short rear axle ( limited travel) I saw several mid engine buggies on Pirate 4x4 and was wondering how they get these backward facing engines and drivetrains to produce proper forward movement?
Is it a special transmission/ T-case, ....Thanks in advance.
