That is pretty snazzy ty!! :grinpimp:

Thanks :)

Kinda funny it turned out as well as it did. The pic above is %100 opac. and fits almost dead on, you can see more if using the larger kmz I sent ya and turn down the opac.

Nice work Ty. Do have the file saved in a Garmin Mapsource friendly extension, I think it's mps or gdb that works with it. I would be nice to create a map of the area with the 2 trails in highlighted that we can hand out at the run and keep for ourselves while on the trail. I found that the track is so wide you have to use wide paper or cut the map in two. I have got some map paper that Knolly kicked down that I can print front and back and that works.

I do. Im still learning, but have found the .gpx format plays nicely in most software including MapSource. Ill email them off to you.

Edit: Garret - I fail, lol... can you PM your number and email adress?

Club responsibilities for the official day

Haven't seen anything in our cloak and daggers forum and not much here other than our own projects getting ready.

Days seem to be flying by. What exactly do we need to dial in and get done prior to the official date?

Side thought. For all of us camping either the first nite or both, does it make any sense to make a simple list of "im bringing" so we all dont end up there with 15 of everything? Sure there is stuff you pack for your camoing use, but stove, fuel, lanterns, tarps, etc. Seems every time I go anywhere most my stuff ends up in the truck.

I pretty much camp to make myself comfortable. I don't really have anything that people would say "sweet, can I borrow that" such as Travis' or my Dad's stove setup. There's probably going to be a few of us so more than one stove will be necessary. I would say bring enough for yourself to be at home but don't over pack. My boy and I will be packing light for us which is like an overseas vacation compared to Travis :D

Garrett,
It looks like my son and I might be able to make it although I'll probably take the easy route on everything. What time on Friday are you thinking about heading in? Its been a few years since I was in to SD so it would be nice to go with someone.

I can give a window of 9AM to Noon. Most likely I will try to get out by 10 AM if possible. Just shoot me a call the night before if you want or post up, I will probably know better then.

I may even head out on Thursday....nothing in stone yet.

Hmm, I'm off Thursday.....

Of course I may use that as an excuse to visit a lake and sit on a boat. :grinpimp:

(Pssst: Travis, wanna go fishing this Thursday?)

Gotta be at the VA in Roseburg at 1....

I am now comitted to a social event Friday night. I will be driving in Sat AM with Al. If anyone has specific directions to sourdough for us noobs please post it up. How long should I plan to drive in from Cave Junction? Is the start time set yet, or is it when us late comers arrive?

I have some maps and I can send to you. Garret is working on a combination of maps we have to make a print of them. This is my first time as well so I don't have real directions. Do you have a GPS?
