Merry Christmas GXOR fam. 🎄🎁

Does anyone have real world experience with MBP tuning. Instagram moddedbyphill. They offer tunes for non-vvti 2uzfe. ECU will need to be shipped or swap out. Coming from the diesel community tunes do make a big difference. Of course diesel and gas are night and day especially natural aspirated.

@GXO got the tune from Phil. His response is pretty positive. He also got headers, full custom exhaust plus nomad valve body.

It does help especially with the way transmission shift. Don't expect any miracle with the tune but it does make the drive a lot more enjoyable. Driveability would be improved by more linear throttle and less gear hunting, especially at slight incline that tend to make the transmission shift up and down many times.

I'm not expecting much mostly want to improve mpg lol. Dam GX is a pig compared to my Sequoia. I would be happy to get at least 15 city. Last time I calculated I got 13 city. I didnt know he offered headers too. What year of GX do you have?

My VVTI GX is tuned YotaWerx, which does not offer a pre-VVTI tune), along with long tube headers, exhaust, and the Nomad valve body. It gets about the same MPG as a stock GX unloaded but 15-20% better MPG towing. But it pulls waaaay harder than stock - with means I have my foot in it more and kill the MPG :). I suppose if you kept your foot out of it (which I actually do towing) you might get better MPG with the tune and other mods - but it's just hard to do that with such a smooth/nice sounding N/A V8 with the big midrange torque gains those mods give.

I am built so ymmv as I am on 37s with 4.88s but have a nomad valve body and torque lockup and such. I get around 13-15 highway on long hauls conservative driving

2007 GX here with the MBP tune for about 3 months so far. Been SUPER happy with it. Get about 13mpg, but we have DT LT headers and dumping right out of the Y-Pipe and love the sound and show off quite often. Did 15mpg on the highway when going to TN driving 65ish on the 38s and 4.88 gears with RTT and fully loaded inside... Eventually we'll do the Nomad valve body, but that's probably a year or two down the road.
