I will take a video of mine tomorrow. Just purchased an 80 today with almost the exact same noise. According to PO he drove it like this for the last two years and it was that way when he bought it. I was thinking a valve issue as well. Almost sounds like 1/6th of a 2F

I will also check on the oil cap.

Of course I have other issues. Don't you know it ran great at the owners house today and I get home after an uneventful 3 hour drive home and it won't idle to save it's own life.

I haven't had time to do anything lately. All of the sudden, grad school homework just took over my life! Hopefully this week I can figure out what's up. My wife is NOT excited by this turn of events....

Since it does sound like it is half the engine speed, you might want to pop your distributor cap and make sure something isn't loose/chipped/bouncing around under there.
