Sorry to post so late on this but I believe that I had mentioned the date being the 19th to work on the raffle truck at the meeting.

Gonna make this one fo sho

The plan is to work on the tub and, depending on how many guys show-up, we will start on the bib, aprons, and fenders....yes, bodywork.

We also need to clean and paint some engine-related parts.

I'm going to try and make this one. Depends on how much I get done on my own junk.
And if the wife lets me.

Sent from the technology that is running our lives!

Thanks to Tom, Chris, Eric, Steve and John for showing up...some of you even put in a fair day's work;).

Thanks to Steve for donating primer, sanding supplies, dust masks and cold drinks in addition to his time and labor. Tom as always provided the power and hand tools, electricity and hospitality and for that we are all very grateful.

We got a lot done, will post pics on the Raffle Truck thread. We got the fenders and top of the hood sanded, straightened and primed. We also sanded about 50 lbs. of unneeded bondo off the tub (well Eric did anyways). We patched a few holes in the fender wells with panels cut from the donor 40 and have two small holes to weld shut.

The tub is now on a rolling cradle that will make it easier to work on. We need to sand some surface rust off the interior tub, weld the two holes and then get some paint on the topsides as well as touch up the undercoating underneath.

We'll schedule the intervention to take care of Tom's lean-to in the coming weeks, before summer starts in full swing.

Thanks everyone!

Jon

Had a good time! Tom, I'm sure you ended up with an extra grinder! That would be mine. I'll get it on the next go-round.
