MAY MEETING IN CHARLOTTE-Who Wants to host?

May seems like a tough month to make a weekend work for everyone. If a large group can't commit / attend, it probably isn't worth the effort IMO.

Just a thought but maybe we should consider pushing the CLT meeting back, say a better weekend in July or August since June seems have direction already...

Thoughts????
 
Sorry about that gang :frown:, but May does seem to be a bad month for a HAMOM with everything else that's going on. I'm all for pushing the CLT meeting back a little further in the year when more people could come and enjoy the festivities. Sounds like we have an agenda for June already. Maybe we can setup something for July. If it gets to August we'll have to use someone else's garage as my wife is due with #4 (yes, #4) in early August.
 
I don't see how May can work out every weekend seems to be full for one reason or another. I hope it just gets pushed back rather than scrap the Charlotte meeting idea. If is gets pushed back to August, I am hoping to be in the new house by that time and if so I could host it at my house. Well see.Wish there was someone way I could help. Now I have to figure out this winch and dual battery system thing myself. This could be interesting.

Eventhough I'm not a member yet, if it helps there's a good chance I could host a Saturday event at my house in May (either May 3rd, 17th, 24th or 31st would be best...the 10th would be the bottom of my list) if you guys still want to get together. I'm located north of Charlotte off I-77 in the Lake Norman area (Cornelius / Davidson). Have a decent set of tools, jack & stands, compressor, etc...room to park 4 - 6 Cruisers in the driveway but probably only enough room to work on 2 or 3 Cruisers at a time (part of driveway is sloped).

Also, if this event is held I've got some FJ40 parts that need to go...FREE to any ONSC member who needs some good sheet metal to patch into their late ('79+) FJ40 tub:

What is the feeling about having a meeting this weekend (or this month)? I'm game for a meeting this weekend, but not sure about anyone else.
 
Hey guys. Sorry to be out of the loop since I last posted...have been to the west coast 2x in the last couple weeks on business.

If you guys want to get together at my place, even if it's just to shoot breeze, have a cookout / drink some beer (BYOB), and talk Cruisers then I can host this weekend the 17th or at the end of the month on the 31st. But the Memorial Day weekend is going to be out as I've now got company spending the weekend.

just got back from GSMTR and got a new list of "Needs" and a few "wants" which are pretty much the same thing.

just to name a few........

Go figure, I am in Chicago this weekend. May seemed like a really tough month for everyone. To bad it was Charlotte's month though. I hope everyone gives Charlotte a chance again in the future.
 
Yeah, that's the feeling I'm getting is that we will prob need to try for another time... Since I posted earlier there's a good chance I've got to make a run to western NC on Saturday anyway...
 
well charlotte is closer to me than Crozet.....its much easier on the wallet to make it to charlotte..or even Western NC.

lets get something firm, i'm eager to meet all of you.
 
On short notice it would be difficult for some in the triangle. I'll see who we can get together and if it works out we'll have some there, if not I would still like to see the charlotte crowd get together and meet and greet.
 
As Shinton Mentioned....theres an open invite at the Devils PlayGround this weekend. Like you said, its short notice, but i think im going to head down there sat. It may be a bit closer for the Ral/dur crowd. Plus its about another 30 minutes to uwharrie.
