dang I'll be at the American Wheeler event in Uwharrie that weekend... can't make it to the gsmtr though... can't get that much time off of work right now

Lets plan that, alot of us will be attending GSMTR and pre-trip/post-trip will take up the weekends before and after.
Remember race week is 5/15 thru 5/25. Huge traffic issues anon 5/15 and 5/24. Also don't know how many people will be attending the race.
Okay, let's just have the meeting AT gsmtr. 
Why don't we just stick with the standard 2nd Sunday (5/11) and meet in Charlotte? MTNHDWR's or YOTAFAN's homes are possible locations...
If everyone can't attend that is fine. If folks are getting ready for GSMTR that day, no problem.

I like your thinking.
I got the green light to hold the event at my house on May 11th. I'm still game for a front axle rebuild on my 80 and whatever other repairs you guys may have. So for those who can attend, we can meet at my place for the May HAMOM on Sunday the 11th (this will stick with tradition) near Concord Mills Mall. I'll probably start working on my rig around 9. Folks with long drives, feel free to stroll in anytime in the morning. I can provide a garage, a driveway that will easily hold 6 trucks, decent tools, and some new air tools that need to be broken in. I can also do some grillin' with burgers/dogs/brats, etc. and I'll try to have some refreshments on hand 
. If anyone would like to bring anything (food, drinks, parts, tools, etc.) please feel free. I can provide directions and my cell number closer to the date. Thoughts/comments?John
P.S. We would love to have some of the Raleigh & Triad folks in attendance.
I'm good for after GSMTR, but before and during.....can't really make it.

Who from the Raleigh-Triad area is going to make this one, I would like to possibly carpool with gas prices like they are. I have spoke with Stephen and he is willing to carpool.
This is on Mothers Day. I dont know how all the Mothers in my life would feel about me skipping out on them for the day. This one is up in the air for me.

I'm up in the air depending on the date. I'm pretty close, but I'll need plenty of prep time for the Great Smokey Trophy.
BTW, I broke $75 filling up the exploder last night. The pump actually cut off before it was full.....at that point, I looked over and noticed diesel was at $4.15/gallon. Damn.
Time to go fryer like no other.

Anyone interested in changing this meeting to Saturday instead of Sunday for the month of May, or is the verdict to skip it.
Put 110.00 in the dually the other night. And it was only 3.99 per gallon. Granted i can now go 4 weeks back and forth to work on that.
I won't be able to make it that weekend. I've got friends coming in from the West. Too bad though... I'd like to have hitched a ride in someone's rig. Have fun! I'll catch the next one. -Tom

I'm planning on heading down from Apex. Depending on whether my family can go (my daughter is having a tonsillectomy on 5/8), I can haul others with me. Unfortunately, I probably won't know if I have empty seats until the day before. Either way, I'm There...

Alright so I aplogize for the confusion but John (Yotafan) is going to be unable to host Saturday or Sunday due to previously scheduled events and Sunday being Mothers Day, which is completely understandable. Are there any others that are considering hosting this months meeting?
