I'm not going to be putting the 80 out on the trails this time. My exhaust hangers really need to be rehung. I'd like to find someone doing daniel to ride with. Brian are you up to taking the green meany up there again??

FYI, Greg and I did Daniel a couple weekends ago. We ran all of it in about 30-40 minutes, having stopped to play in the "rock garden" area for probably 15 or so of those minutes.

That being said, anything close to stock is going to be a strapfest!! Not highly recommended, unless you are locked and have some clearance, just because the two ledges near the beginning.

Nope, I was leaving the green machine home this time. Needs a shake down, before I try and do Daniel again. I was just bringing the Bobsled, and I haven't put the lift on it yet, so I may just be doing the mild stuff from what Ramon describes.

Well, the locked and stock 80's never cease to amaze me, so do what you feel comfortable with. Those ledges aren't any worse (I don't think) than the last time I was on Daniel about a year ago.

the ledges dont bother me but how was that first climb to ledge one? it was getting so uneven it forced you into the bank on the left. The one im speaking of is where someone snapped a pick of greg bout ready to bail from brians ride as he kept lifting a front tire.

The rest is no issue, just dont see the fun in trashing a driver side just to get to the trail.

I don't even remember there being an issue in the 40 J - maybe Greg would be better suited to answer that question as I was in front of him. He didn't mention anything about it though.

bwahaha..... i recall you not having an issue leaning into the canopener in Harlan too

might be in the pickup then and stickin to easy street..... just dont tell the bossman :D

thanks

I will be in the 62 and plan on just hitting the easy street as well...

Nah the issue with being all jacked up on the one side, was 1) my first time up there 2) Greg told me to be as far to the left as possible. I think I was taking him a little too literally, and was too far over...

Problem with my 80 is that I still have the hitch on the back, and wants to drag even in the small stuff.

i drag my hitch about everytime, but it's still there.

I will be there around 9 and stay for the night. I hope i dont trash my nearly stock 4runner. I have done some trails there but never the Daniel ride. looking forward for tomorrow

Hey all - slight change of plans for the Wellers.

Ran into an issue and can't leave until 8AM tomorrow, so should be rolling in around 10AM. I'll try to get up with folks on CB/FRS channel 7, but if not, lets plan to rendezvous around noon at Falls Dam trailhead. Hope someone sees this :)

Sorry I can't make this one fellas. We're going out of town for a wedding next weekend and then I only have 2 more weekends before leaving for GSMTR (including the wife's birthday weekend). Then when I get back from GSMTR, there's a little less than 2 weeks before leaving for the 4Runner Jamboree, so I've gotta bow out of this trip to do a few things on the 4Runner and keep things happy 'round the home, if ya know what I mean. :princess:

Yet another change of plans here too - I didn't make it out last night, leaving this AM for what is now merely a day trip for me.:frown:

Hope everyone is safe down there; were getting rocked by some ridiculously intense storms here in High Point. 60+ mph winds and 1/2'' hail and some of the worst rain and lightning ive ever seen.

Hold on tight guys.

One heavy rain. Thunder n lightning but not too bad. Had a good day but hoping the heavy stuff stays away!

Glad it missed you there as you guys dodged a bullet.

I would have hated to be sleepin in the 45 for that one.

We've got broken windows, a missing mailbox, 3 35'' tires/wheels about 40 feet from where they were last, and I found alex's monster jade plant about 150' down the road in the neighbors yard.

pretty far cry from what we saw yesterday er, couldnt see...

Hope everyone had a good time. Sorry we didn't stay very long. Andrea and I have just been crazy busy the last few weeks (most likely this will continue to happen) and all of it just caught up to us yesterday.

Very much enjoyed meeting everyone and sharing a few around the fire....as the lone Lowcountry representative...but was a good trip for me and the 60. Hot as hell on Friday afternoon, Saturday and even Sunday morning. Had a good shower Saturday night and when I left this morning a huge white oak was across the road. Forest crew as cutting it up and then pushed it off with a dozer just in time...

If anyone as pics of the blue 60 climbing, spinning, or just sitting their looking seXXXy....please pass them my way so I dont get the IH8MUD watermark stuck on them from being posted through here. LOL

Thanks again and look forward to the next run with you guys...

The apple pie was GOOD! :D

Oh a special hello to "Lilly" and her NEW FRIEND!

I had a good time. It rained a bit last night but was not that bad.

That's good to hear and see Rafael! It was blast wheeling with you and everyone yesterday.

The Dickey Bell ride in the morning was a great start! Everyone made it look easy. We breezed right on through Rocky Mount, I'm sure David got a little pucker coming down the trail.;) Daniel was a hoot, thanks Brian and Clint for showing me the tree bypass line after I almost kissed it. I was very surprised at the 80's on Daniel, that first ledge offered no drama for the big wagons and the rocks were fun. Of course, Raymond's 40 made it look like a drive down a country road. :)

All in all it was a great day at URE!
