Great fun this weekend. Glad to see everyone out, and some new faces. Uwharrie is always hard to co-ordinate lunch and second run times, but I've got some ideas for September's run.

Brock, you're always invited when you get the chance, just let me know when you want to join us!

Just a few pictures... Daniel always treats you to a prize once you put your time and effort into it, and that camera angle makes it look more like it feels!

Enjoyed meeting several of the group(didn't spend enough time to meet everyone) and get the chance to stretch the legs on my 100. It was quite cool to go for a run in the woods surrounded by some quite capable and beautiful rigs. As for me, no damage and I got my money's worth out of the sliders!

Bumper is fixed just needs some filer and paint. just used a heat gun and sand paper.

so what did the wife say????

Do you have that pic you took of me on the first climb up in morning...the rocky face? Let me get the motor mounts and next time I will do Daniel in the 60.:wrench::steer:

Thanks again for the great time yesterday. Was really jealous of the 80s yesterday as they marched up Daniel and were able to cruise the dirt roads with their A/C on as I took on a thick coat of dust inside the 40.

Was hard to get too many action shots while :steer:but I've posted some of the better ones I got HERE (along with an unedited ultralow quality video of Ramon playing).

Thanks to Little Joe for giving me a lift for the last ride of the day and to him and Rafael for keeping me from rolling over after lunch.

Hope to see everyone again soon.

Hey great time all! Hate we missed a lot of folks - but was fun while it lasted. That storm seemed to pop up out of nowhere, but we were lucky it was just a few minutes of heavy rain and some lightning.

Anyway, here's the video I put together. Apologies to David, somehow or another you and your 40 weren't to be found on the Flip.

Might be a few minutes as I just finished the upload - HQ takes a few hours after that usually as well.

Awesome video Raymond! Very well done!

X 2 ...... and man those trails look tame in an 80

Nice pics and movies everyone! As Al said, sorry for leaving early on Saturday. It was a great time as always and nice to finally meet some more folks.

Al thanks for riding along and giving me some pointers...sorry about your bruised legs. :D

Nice pics. I heard the forest was full of Cruisers over the weekend. My buddy Terry sells hot dogs at the double parking lot, he said he saw some nice Cruisers come through. You should stop and get lunch there next time you're at the URE, and talk Cruisers with Terry. He used to build and wheel FJ40s. He's built several from the ground up, and he's a hell of a fabricator!

I've talked to Terry several times while out there RK - bought a couple of waters from him Sat. and hot dogs several times in the past (ONSC folks know how I feel about hotdogs :) ). He has great prices considering the location. For whatever reason, I was thinking that was the same person selling the rollcage/axles/hysteer etc. - guess I got Tym and Terry mixed up.

Dickie Bell video with the 80 and 100. Left the commentary because it is funny.

YouTube - URE - Dickie Bell - May 15, 2010

The 80 making it look easy.

The 100 using A-TRAC. Very strange to stay on the gas no matter what.

Me and the Girls had a blast.

Ramon - Great video.

Very nice...thanks man. Keep em coming guys!

Great pics guys.

Thats right, I recall trying to buy at least two of them ;p
So rare they are so nice and so 20 minutes from the house.
Hopefully one day I'll sport one of his trac bars on the piggy; he does do nice work.

I talked to Terry for a while on saturday morning at the outpost. I told him we would send him a PM next time we were coming down as a group. (yourhotdogguy on NC4x4) And for a future note, He said he would be more than glad to come out to our campsite and grill up dinner for everyone on a Friday or Saturday evening. I think we should take him up on it and allow us some more trail time without worrying about getting back in time to cook up a meal. Just set a time for him to be there and its up to every to make it back to camp.

im sure Ramon would agree :D

Nice to see the 100s in the herd, wish I could have stayed longer on saturday.

BTW is it normal to have a giant bruise under your elbow after wheeling a 40 series? theres not a soft spot in that thing.

for those that werent there to see Johns 40 it was a thing of beauty...
