Jerry any date in March you can do? Doesn't seem a lot of people are interested in this trip, and hate to lose 1 truck out of 4.

Well, it would just be me, you, and Del. Seems no one else is interested.

Unless I hear otherwise, this trip is canceled and the new venue is:

Leith Toyota Truck Show

This event will be Saturday March 19 2011 and is being put together by Leith Toyota (duh) and the NCFJ club. 10am to 4pm in Raleigh off Capital.

David Bronson runs the NCFJ Cruisers club, and we've been asked to participate in their show. They have some sponsors lined up and should be an interesting meet. They want some of the older cruisers to help round out their event. I'd like our club to be professional and represent the TLCA organization. Link to the Facebook posting:

1. Everyone wear a ONSC, UC, TLCA, or other T-shirt.
2. Try and do a little write up on your rig for modifications to post in your window.
3. I will compile photos and videos for a slide show of what we've done as a group. Send me photos and videos.
4. We'll need the TLCA and the ONSC banner, pop-up tents, etc.

I would be interested if fuel prices weren't so high. It just kills me to burn that much fuel right now. I might consider going and taking Emma's truck, depending on date and getting clearance from theMrs. to take her 80. :)

Well, we would have to switch it to the same weekend as the Leith Show, as that's the first weekend the ferry starts running.

I'm suggesting the Gulches run with Upstate for those wanting to keep the same weekend...

Guys we need to get back on board and show are new members what this club has built it's reputation on and that's being active. How many do we have planning to attend this event? Though this may not be everyone's cup of tea it's a great opportunity to show the history of the Toyota Land Cruiser past and present and show our representation with Leith for future sponsorship opportunities.

I'm shooting for good representation (on the rigs) on this show. Post up if you're going and I'll update the list.

FJ40-Brian, Ramon, Del
FJ45-Jason you the man!
FJ55-?
FJ60/62-?
FJ80/FZJ80-Clint/Joe/Heather
UZJ100-Clint/Greg
GJS15-Jerry

For those that post I'll send you a form to put your mods/additions on.

Greg, as we spoke we'll need the banners, we need the stickers, and we need more cards... Can we get some TLCA material to handout?

We'll need some pop-up tents, everyone bring your chairs, and wear a club/TLCA event/toyota T-shirt.

I might be able to show the world a hacked up propane powered 40 :)

I've got the photo boards and a fresh pop-up. I'll look around for the TLCA banner we should still have from the Rockvember event.

Does this mean I'll have to wash my FJC? Vacuum the inside? Or, should I go "raw" and see what its really like from day to day...

I might be able to come...let me see how work is going as we get closer.

I have the banners, both club and TLCA. I also have the stickers.

I am also debating on having ONSC Club koozies ordered. Probably not in time for this event but definitely in time for some summer beverages.

Would it make sense for each of us to make little datasheets on our Cruisers to tape inside a window at this show? I was thinking today for many, our 40s, 60s, 80s are "exotic" (lol) and it might be nice to list some specs and mods and share the heritage of the Land Cruiser.

I am intereted in attending but can't put the 100 out there (not like it's a big deal) as I can probably only make it for a couple of hours or so in the afternoon (long ride day :)).

I also need to get you guys some dues money so I can be an "official" member!

Joe I think Brian has a file he would like everyone to use.

I also have the legendary land cruiser DVD should we want to use that as a backdrop and play it.

I cant participate in anything until April....between work, night classes every night during week...and turkey season starting on 15th of March...(yep going to try and chase some with my osage or vine maple self bow again this year).

April I plan on getting up to Uwharrie or an event....and then after June I will be open too. I am jonesing to get up there again...been long winter. :D

if i could get some new tires on the 55 i'd be out there representing that model...speaking of which, does anyone know of some good used 31x10.5 tires? that'd be about all holding me back, since the cruiser is in Wilson.

You could try this
4 31X10.50 / 1 30X9.50 Tires - NC4x4 Forum

If you are flexible a little on size there are many on that site.

Or if you are looking for new tirerack.com has some good deals right now.
