If you are planning on attending the Leith Toyota Event please PM or email me and I will send you a word doc to update with your rig info. Once you have updated it you can send the file back to me and we will print them before the event.

David has linked our forum discussion thread to the Facebook page, so maybe some FJ Cruiser guys will find out how helpful IH8Mud is, and learn about our club!

I can't make it.... work has eaten up every weekend this month.

Email sent to those that I have email addresses to. PM me if you didn't get one and for directions to the super secret meeting place for breakfast!

A BIG thanks!!!

Hey guys, this is David from NCFJ Cruisers.

I just wanted to say THANKS for your decision to join us in the Leith "show" meet and greet!

I am very happy to see your participation in this event. I know that we can learn alot from you guys and look forward to meeting you all!

Again, many, many thanks to all of you, and let me say, a special thanks to Brian Keefer who has been the "go between" member for both of our groups.

I know so many NCFJ Cruiser guys are looking forward to meeting you and seeing rigs.

Once again, THANKS and can't wait to meet!

FYI, we are planning a meet up at Triangle Town Center, most likely in the Saks Fifth Ave parking lot for a convoy ride to Leith and will have someone along Capital Blvd to take pics....more details to come after I talk to John @ Leith and I will post this Saturday. But I know we would expect to meet in the Saks parking lot by 9 am...let me know if you are interested.

Brian, once I know how my head rework goes, I'll let you know if I'll make it or not. Sorry, just won't know sooner than later.

2011 NCFJ show update

Hey guys, David from NCFJ here again

Ok, update time!!!!! Here is the down and dirty:

1. CONVOY!!!: This is the official convoy notification. Here are the details: We are meeting in the Sears parking lot of Triangle Town Center. I know I have told a few of you that it would be the Saks 5th Ave parking lot, but that was before......that was before I had definite confirmation of a RALEIGH POLICE DEPARTMENT ESCORT!!! That's right, we will be getting an escort of 4 Raleigh Police cruisers, lights flashing, intersection blocking and all!!! We will own Capital Blvd for a bit!!!

We need to be at the Sears parking lot NO LATER THAT 9:30AM !!! We will be leaving with Police escort at 9:45am. We need to be ready to go! I will be in the parking lot at between 8:45am and 9am. Sears is around the corner from Saks, actually it is on the Capital Blvd side of the mall, so easy to find.

2. We welcome you to bring coolers, the bigger the better, so that we can use them to store food, drinks, etc....John Desmond said that if you can get them to him before Saturday, that would be great, but if not, bring them on Saturday. Make sure to label the coolers with your names on them so he can get them back to you before you leave.

3. It has been decided by vendors and organizers that there will be a raffle for prizes at 1pm sharp. Raffle tickets will be available for $2.00 a ticket and all proceeds will go to charity (Wounder Warrior). The prizes and sponsors who have donated them are as follows: (for this forum, I left vendor names off...to see each vendor, check the Facebook event page)

Vendor#1: Offering 4 combo prizes. The combo is a set of Sylvania Silver Star Ultra headlight upgrade bulbs and an vendor branded porcelain coffee mug (they look like Starbuck "to go" cups).

Vendor#2: ARB recovery gear.

Vendor#3: One certificate for a complete set (4) of rim repair/refinishing.

Vendor#4: One certificate good for $200 worth of paintless dent repair. They are also offering 1 certificate good for 15% off any dent repair job over $200.00. (so 2 seperate prizes)

Vendor#5: 2 certificates good for windshield repairs (2 prizes)

Vendor#6: Offering up multiple Toyota branded items as prizes as well as 3 certificates for free oil changes (they are offered as 3 separate prizes)

4. In keeping with the Raffle, we need to know if anyone out there has a CB system with external PA.speaker. We would like to use that to announce the winning tickets as they are drawn. If you have something like this, let me know ASAP.

5. As I stated in previous update, the show will feature free food! hamburgers, hotdogs, soda. (there is enough for 300 people)

6. Leith is offering 2 spots to take your rig for photo ops during the show. There are good sized rocks (think drainage rocks) out front of the dealership, they will be allowing us to drive out on them for photo ops just remember, nothing crazy. And if you pull up the areal view of the dealership on Google maps, there is an area next to the dealership that has a dirt hill that we will be able to drive around on for photos. We will get advice/directions from dealership on this the day of the show.

7. Vendors will also have "normal" give away swag on first come first served basis.

8. There will be areas available to donate to charity aside from the raffle.

9. I have the "Official NCFJ" windows stickers. They will be available on first come first served basis. I will have them with me at Sears and will start to hand them out to all that want one and that meet me for the convoy. If there are any left, they will be handed out at the dealership.

10. This is only a possibility...there may be an RTI (articulation) ramp available for a little more fun/pictures.

There may be more items but I will not mention them now as they are last minute (hint: possible press coverage, but absolutely no promises on that).

So, I hope that is informative and I cannot wait to meet you all. I think we are in for a fun time

Thanks,

David

Brian/Greg what ever happened to the RTI ramp we used at the farm??

If you guys have one...that would be cool!!!! I say bring it! That would be much appreciated!

That thing is not fit for public consumption!! It was questionable then - we rushed it. We need to allocate a couple hundy of club funds and build a proper one!

OK, so it's Brian, Heather, Clint, Stacy, Jason, Jerry, Terry, Joe, Del, and Bill. Is that everyone? 10 rigs (well 9 +1 later)?

Oh and Greg!
