I removed (and still have) the Manik 926050. Tail light guards as well. Far as I can recall there were no mounting brackets. Just 4 bolts on the front guard and screws hold the tail light guards on.

I think most people mount them here

I believe so. When you see it it will be painfully obvious where it goes. I'm away from my truck or I'd take a pic. Seriously though , look through the "damage multiplier" threads if you haven't already.

I sold mine to some idiot that wanted to mount it on his Dodge Ram. Never mind that the frame brackets weren't even close to being the same. Whatever. $100 in my favor. I think I blew it on new gaskets for my fender flares. ;)

No acquire means for FREE. And my 80 just frequents LA area Costco parking lots and this should protect the wife from the uneventful shopping cart incident. Sorry to say it boys but some of these 80s are STILL soccer mom rides.
I understand the need for shopping car defense (I also have that need). But there is a reason they are called damage multipliers. In the event of anything more substantial than a shopping car hitting it - they actually cause extra damage by pressing into and spreading out damage across your front end. If your wife hits a tree, a post, or God forbid, another vehicle you will be in significantly worse shape than you would have been without it.

There are 2 brackets that mount the guard to the tow hooks then 2 smaller brackets that secure the guard to the OEM bumper.

Part or model number probably matters. The one I took off (p/n in previous post) was all one piece. Or...it was missing pieces (which is entirely possible).

IIRC, the two bolt holes on each lower bracket bolt where the factory "tow hoops" were. This is why they are so weak, when hit, even minor, it bends down there, collapses into the body work. Often causing much more damage than without.

I understand where you are coming from. Sadly it won't protect your headlight or hood should an F250 SLOWLY back into your 80 in said COSTCO parking lot.....while you watch from afar. I learned the damage multiplier lesson the hard way....damage would have been less with no bumper.

DONE. I personally love it, reminds me of my RR classic. Thanks for all the damage warnings. I will take my chances.
I too like the look. The "damage multiplier" warnings keep me from installing one on my rig. I suppose there is a level at which it helps (more than just looks) which may not be a lot more than shopping cart impacts.

If your goal is to have your Land Cruiser look like your RR classic then it would be much simpler to drive it down to your local, overpriced, mechanic and take pictures of it at his shop.

Then go back to driving it and beating the sh!t out of it like Mr. T intended.
