Man, the Toyota LC and Lexus GX/LX lines are getting convoluted... (1 Viewer)

The lc looks like it’ll be easier to mod as well with only single intake for a snorkel and no avs. I heard that it starts with the hybrid battery system so I’m thinking you could wire all your accessories (lights, fridge, etc) to the factory 12v in the back and forego installing a dual battery set up? Maybe someone else knows more about that?

It does have slightly less power, but the 27 mpg more than makes up for it. Plus there’s the money factor… we might be looking at a $20k difference between the mid trim lc and the over trail GX, which is the trim you’d need in order to get the rear locker.

At 27 mpg, I hope they don't drop the tank size to 12 gal (324 mile range) or something stupid like that. I'd love if they kept it 24 gal with a range of over 600 miles!!
Also, I haven't seen anything about water fording. With all that sparky stuff, hummm. Wonder, don't go deeper than the diffs, or can it go deeper?

As these vehicles lean more and more to EV's, I just don't know how I'll justify a snorkel!
I may just get my wife's craft hot-glue gun and stick one on anyways. :D

Probably getting the same tank as the 300? They’re the same size truck… I think the 300 is 21 gal?

With a 21 gallon tank, at 27 mpg, I'd LOVE a range of over 500 miles per tank!!! 😍

Looks like they removed the 27mpg combined rating from their site... maybe it was too good to be true. :(

Good catch. I thought that seemed optimistic. I hope it does get that, but it very easily could have been a typo.

I did too, really. For a truck that heavy to get 27 mpg combined would be fairly miraculous. But that's what they were saying...

The new LC (250) is considerably smaller than the LC 300. It is a bit bigger than our GX460, though.

Someone else posted this, not sure how accurate it is… I think it originally came from kirk krifels

Wonder if it's the same frame as the new GX550 since they're about the same size.
