Hello - my name is Tim and I live in NW Colorado Springs. I drive a '96 LC pretty much stock, though I've added OME 2.5" and some larger tires. I'm looking for a good group to ride with and learn from. I usually go out with my wife and kids, but looking for some others to get out with for some rides. How do I get involved? Where/when are meetings?

Thanks!

Tim

Hi Tim,

We meet the third Tuesday of every month, 7:00pm at Redline Landcruisers, near Powers and Galley. Some of us like to have a beer and some BBQ before each meeting at Rockey Mountain Brewery, so you are welcome to come out for that, too.

The club has an official trial run each month, and we post up details/plans on this forum. You are welcome to join on a trail run with the club any time. The next run is here: Schubarth. Schubarth should be a good trail for a fairly stock rig.

Hope to see you soon!

Andrew

Welcome Tim! Hope to see you out at a meeting or out on the trail soon.

Hello everybody, My name is Maxwell and i'm almost road legal/reliable with my 82 FJ60 [the box].
Resurrected after 4 years of sitting, and in need of another carb rebuild and master cylinder, I hope to be joining y'all on the trails soon.
I was wondering if i would be able to tag along on the Shubarth run on the 17th even though the box is still down?
Thanks and hope to meet yall soon

Welcome! If I had my wagon up and running, I'd have an empty seat. Unfortunately my small pickup is only two seats, my daughter will most likely occupy the other. Anyone?

Hey everyone, my name is Josh. I picked up a 96 FZJ80 back in September to replace my 02 Tacoma as my offroad rig. I live in Buena Vista. Since I am to far away, I will probably not attend any meetings, but would like to do some wheeling with you guys if the trails are up in the high country. My rig is has 230k, 33's (hope to have 35's this summer along with regear), sliders (well soon, they are on the floor of my garage), 3 times locked and ready to wheel. If anyone is up this way to do some wheeling, let me know!

Welcome Maxwell!

Any picks of the 60?

I'm not sure if the family is coming along for this on. If they decide to stay home, you've got a seat with me. Unfortunately however, I never know if they're going until the morning of the trip. :)

Welcome Josh! Don't worry about attending meetings, we'll see you out on the trail. We love your area of Colorado, so I'm sure we'll all be wheeling together in no time.

Sounds good. I will keep my eyes posted for up coming trail runs. Lots of good trails around BV! Glad I finally found this part of MUD. Been on here for a few months already and just finally found the Clubhouse section.

We have our annual trail planning party this week, so we'll have the 2015 trail schedule up later this week. And that's just the "Official" CLC trips, there are always renegades planning side trips that haven't been sanctioned by the group. ;)

Welcome and great looking rig! I'm a huge fan of the white wagon wheels! I would most certainly guess there will be a spring trip in the BV area, probably Chinamen Gulch, I'm sure that will end up on the 2015 schedule as there's been mention of it lately before some of us head to Cruise Moab.

If you decide to take any trips, or want to plan a trip, definitely post it up! I know there are a few trails out your way I'd like to hit before I leave the area in the summer.

I think a Chinamen Gulch trip would be great to do in the spring once some of the snow melts. I have never run that trail yet, but now that I have a capable rig, I can't wait! Lots of fun trails up in the high country too, but those will have to wait until June/July!
I will stay tuned for the list of trails for this year and try to get in on some of the fun with other LC folks.

i'll have to catch yall on one of the next ones, my 60 isn't ready but i'll keep yall posted

Hope to see you out for the next one. You're always welcome to stop by Red Line Land Cruisers this Tuesday evening for our meeting and get to know some of us.

Hello,

I am new to the site and now a proud owner of a 2006 LC with AHC. I have been a Toyota owner for many years and own 2 4 Runners with some basic mods. I am looking to build my LC into a weekend warrior and will be asking some questions along the way. I hope I get a chance to meet some of you along the way. I am up in Thornton and looking forward to getting out and learning how to tackle these Rocky Mtns of ours.

Take Care and have a good one.

Hey man, don't know how we missed this intro post, but WELCOME!

We have a more the merrier attitude and you're welcome to join us on any trip that sounds like fun to ya.

Hope to see you out on the trail soon.

P.S. It's always fun for me to not be the only 100 series out on a trip. :D Great lookin' 100.

Hey everyone I'm Will just moved to Colorado Springs from Texas and also picked up a 1985 FJ60 that's pretty much stock this morning and couldn't be happier. Been working with Toyotas since I was a kid now I get to see if anything stuck!

Seen a lot of sweet looking trucks since I've been here looking forward to seeing some more maybe out on the trails!

So glad you made it out Will. It's too cool to have someone else starting a FJ60 project at the same time I am. Just wish mine was running too. :D

Hope your wife didn't end up regret letting you out after all. :grinpimp:

Thanks guys! I appreciate all of the feedback. I've got the 17th and 20th (if I can get off work) on my calendar. See you out there...

Tim, glad you came wheelin' with us. Hope you can make it out for one of the trips in the next few months. The upcoming trails are a bit more challenging, but nothing your 80 can't handle. I think you'd really enjoy it.
