I got big hands, the big starter, and the only issue I have with the transmission connectors is that I always forget how each disconnects.

Why it was necessary to have every connector detach a different way I don't know...

I'm considering replacing the whole wiring harness just because about half the connectors dont have their snap-lock tabs (the easy to reach ones of course). Although it hasn't caused me any actual trouble yet.

I have a quick question for the forum...My 94 FJ80z 4.5 has the wire harness pulled off the engine side for me to pull and reinstall the intake manifold. The problem i have is there is one small plug that i cant find the mate for. Its not the coolent temp sensor or the trans sensor, but it is a small single plug. I have plugged all the sensors in along the block and main connectors going back to behind the transmission...this small single plug only has about 6 in of lead and it below the lower half of the intake.....any takers???

A picture is worth a thousand words.

I found it! There is a small sensor on the top of the block in the rear section under the lower section of the intake. All present and accounted for!
Thanks for the suggestions.

I have the same problem does anyone know how to access the wire? My have melted above the glove box do I have to take the how dash off?

just pull the glove box strap away and the box falls forward for you to see behind it. the wire flows across the top
of the dash from driver side.

You can disconnect the ecu and pull the harness through into the engine bay for better access. I think you can still get a brand new harness. That’s what I did a couple years ago.

Yes. Should.

In post #29, I told you that you can pull the harness through the firewall into the engine compartment so as to have excellent access to those melted wires.

There is no need to removed anymore than the glove box.

If I were you, I would scour the earth in search of new wire harness because the one you have isn’t getting any younger.

A work-around I did was to cut the lower intake manifold where the casting ties the runners at the head. I spaced it back from the head, placed plywood shims in there & used a Sawzall.

Did that ~15yrs ago & it still makes sense today, if you are confident in your hand/eye skills this means never fishing the harness back through a intake where there's no need for it.

I'm planning to grab a new one myself for the surplus parts. Just smart $$ IMO.
Last talk with Onur (~month ago), OBD2 harnesses were available / ~$500.

The OP seems to be MIA today and has already been told harnesses are unobtanium.

When I bought my new obd1 harness from cruiserparts three years ago it cost $400 and they had obd2 harnesses for, iirc, $600. What a nice piece of work the new harness is!

I have a brand new OEM OBD II harness here in the shop that s customer bought last week.

Your ECU and climate control system are likely located different from left hand drive rigs. I know how those are laid out, but yours may be quite diffeeent.
