I'm going right through my 400,000km 99 LX470 with 2uz and I'm wondering if the MAF sensor should just be replaced?

The vehicle sticks of fuel at idle, like an old carby vehicle with the choke on.

A quick good says that cleaning them doesn't quite get them to where they should be.

Don't want to spend money I don't have to but looking at the high km (and 23 years old) I'm wondering if it could be on its last legs. What are your thoughts?
