Skimmed the first coat of body filler on the seams and capped off the "nerf bars"

I hope to get some color on it later today. Next is pull tranny out of my stretched40 project.

Since no one caught it, this split case has the non US output and parking brake housing. It was on loan for a while to Kurt so they could do 3d imaging and start producing new units.

did you change the transfer case output shaft? That part is different for the parking brake drum. About 1" longer.

How’s your paint selection coming along?
I really wanted am original paint 40 but this one is no where close. It was originally Olive, then painted green, then camo. I really wanted to paint this Mustard yellow but have not found a close color in Rustoleum spray cans. I want to be able to easily touch it up.
I tried Tuscan sun agains a faded original Mustard yellow hood
I tried Gloss Orange just because it is my favorite color, see race car above
I tried Maui Blue that is a close match to my 78 40.

How’d your paint selection turn out for ya? I just finished rattle canning a few weeks back. (32 cans to be exact). I used tractor supply paint😆. Funny but I’m really happy the way it turned out out.

Yes, that all happened years ago when it was in my stretched40 build.
