I'm starting this thread to document my findings on retrofitting the factory 30L sub-tank to the LX700h.

I initially discovered the sub-tank option when looking through documents on the Toyota TIS system. Specifically this graphic:

I was able to locate the part numbers of the Gulf Council spec LC300:

Sourcing right now seems limited, as Partsouq is out of stock, but one did pop up on ebay for about $400.

Will update later as progress is made.

Can you list all of the part nos. required to install and integrate into the system? Big help, thanks!

That will be the plan, I did some pretty heavy research last night on the charcoal canister and fuel vapor emissions control system using a variety of sources (including @grinchy's subtank install on the 200).

Good news it looks like truck may be prewired for the 2nd fuel sender unit, but I need the truck in hand to confirm.

I'll be posting up a PI&D on the system something in the next week or so.

Thanks -- looking forward to your analysis--big fail to have such a small tank, and noway do I believe that the real world LX 700h mileage is better than 13-14 mpg. My 200 is barely there.

Real world LX600 mileage: 18 mixed driving, 22 highway. Very consistent, 50k miles and three years. I get almost 400/tank, usually fill up before empty, 340-360 miles.

Beats the 200miles a tank I get in my 200 around town 😂

Great find! I'll add that into the research queue!

Posting the LRA instruction here for record.

Minor updates above.

The factory (and aftermarket tanks above) are integrated into the primary filler neck. There's a tee that splits the gasoline from the filler:
