LX600 passenger side wind noise (1 Viewer)

Is anyone experiencing a wind noise or "plastic crackling" type noise coming from the front passenger side A pillar area when reaching freeway speeds of 60 mph+? Word on the street over on Club Lexus is that Lexus is aware and has a fix coming but no timeframe at all. There were 3-4 LX locally that had the same complaint. I have the minor issue as well, and it’s fixed with a little piece of packing tape over the molding where it meets the windshield. Just wondering if anyone else on MUD has this.

Yep, had the same problem. My guys pulled up the gutter seam, added some "insulation," and it's all good.

Can you elaborate on what the insulation was? I’m afraid to pull up too hard and break any clips under there.

To get the molding up, it seems you just have to push it towards the sunroof but I’m afraid to pull up. I can see under it but can’t figure out what’s causing the rattling (besides the wind) I tired small pieces of foam in there and it didn’t work. I’m going to work on it later again.

Hmmm the crowd over at clublexus were saying their dealerships had to order parts and they have been waiting for weeks. Do you have the service receipt stating what they did?

Yes, it literally said something like "pulled up gutter, added insulation, replaced gutter."

My 2023 F Sport had the same issue, I also posted in Club Lexus.

They found a loose clip and readjusted the moulding, the noise is now gone. Since the noise was fixed, I noticed that the driver side is making a slight wind noise now.

I had this resolved at my recent service. The most recent remedy previously posted with the diagram on club Lexus fixed the issue.

New molding replaced old one, the noise is gone.

Took mine in for 15k service yesterday and they fixed this too per a TSE bulletin (think that is what the guy said).

Just had mine in where they corrected the molding work perTSB Lexus has out. Plus they had to readjust the mounding on my sunroof.

No offense to Lexus…for such high quality control how are these trucks making it out with these known issues. The moulding around my sunroof stuff up almost 1/4-1/2 inch.

Does anyone have major wind noise if you open the sunroof shade inside the car while the car is moving. even though the sunroof is closed it makes major wind noise like it’s open.

Nope. Slight increase in wind noise when the shade is open, but sounds more like the roof rack rails noise that was buffered by the shade.
