Hey there Mudders!

I"m having some issues with TPMS flushing when the vehicle is first turn on and stays on afterwards, side mirror not adjusting and tail gate not opening with the power button when vehicle is on and park. The tail gate opens once I turn off the vehicle. I have checked all fuses and they seem to be ok. All these issues are on a 2013 LX570 and any help will be appreciated please.

Also, can anyone recommend a shop manual for this vehicle?

TPMS flashing means a dead TPMS sensor.

For power door make sure it’s not off. There is a button on lower dash that is easy to hit with your knee. If that’s not it, make sure the hatch is closed and disconnect battery for a few minutes. Sometimes the lock can get out of sync.

Thank you for your reply.
All TPMS sensors are fine. I think it has to do with the brain its self. And I say this because these three problems all happened at the same time. At first, memory seats was the other issue but that fixed its self.
As for the power button to the til gate, it is on because if I turn off the car and push the button, tail gate opens fine.

Queue post to start checking for water leaks and water at the a-pillars. There are multiple large connectors at the lower part of each A pillar that many systems run through. When people start seeing multiple issues with seemingly unrelated systems, that's the first place to check.

There is a thread for getting a hold of the FSM. Getting that set up is the 2nd best way to have a copy of the FSM. The best is to sign up for FSM access at Toyota TIS. But this can get pricey.

Here's a good post for how to aquire one for offline use without paying daily/annual chargers.

Thank you! I’ll start tracing water in the pillars.
I’ll also check the links on TIS.

Should add, getting a copy of Techstream can help a lot in tracing down weird issues. You will be able to see exactly why the TPMS system is blinking, as far as what's out of range or not communicating. Not sure if either of those other two systems (tail gate/mirrors) have an ECU or not, but it's probable that they do. If they do, then you will also be able to get info as to any inputs that are out of range or not communicating as well.

Any recommendations on the best source for tech stream?

This is my preference after having tried the cheap and more expensive options:

VXDiag Nano VCX

Haven't seen this before, they sell it with the software preinstalled on a s***ty laptop.

Nano VCX Package

If you buy the Nano VCX they will send you a disk with instructions to get it installed on a PC. I would recommend using an old laptop with no personal info on it if you have one. Windows security definitely does not like the application that is on the disk, so requires some work to get it going.

Option B is gambling on a cheap OBD / J2534 dongle and getting a homebrew Techstream install from something like this:

I am soooo overdue for replacing the s***ty quality sunroof gasket and drainoing my lines.

Big gamble at this point given the huge numbers of people that coupons make TPMS or live data work with MiniVCI.

I’d definitely push for the VCX Nano option. Lots of success there.

So I was able to get a hold of a launch obd2 scanner and here are all codes stored. Anybody has ever come across this issue?

Yikes. You have a lot of reading to do. If this is a one problem causing all the other problems thing. I’d be troubleshooting the gateway module first.

Yeah, I also think it’s one problem causing the rest for sure. I’m suspecting CAN communication system. I came across some article on workshop manuals website and it lists almost all the issues I have .

The gateway ECU connects CAN systems together, that’s why I suggested that one.
