Probably best to just show you the invoice. Since the amp (Link to Crutchfield) is only a 5 channel, probably best to just leave as is until I want to get a new amp and run new wires?

That’s nice equipment you have. You have a very expensive set of 3 way components and a nice amp too. Yes, you can remove the ML amp and that LC8i line out converter, which was used to send the audio signal from the ML amp to the aftermarket amp. Then you can run 5 channels of rca signal from the t’eyes to the amp. You probably won’t gain much by doing this other than simplifying the system and removing failure points (ML amp and line out converter). If you want to step up the system, get a DSP amp to run the front midbass and rear speakers and then use the existing amp to power the front 2–3/4” midrange, tweeters, and subwoofer.

Thank you so much! I was hoping you'd say something along those lines. You saved me so much time trying to understand what the hell is going on in my truck. I owe you big time!

I'll be in Austin June 20th. If you're around I'd like to buy you a beer, or three, sir!

Has anyone gotten the power antenna to work correctly? I have installed a "Y" in order to connect both stock antenna wires to the Teyes. The radio reception is much better; however, the antenna does not raise and the button on the dash does not work. I noticed the Teyes unit has a blue antenna wire that is not connected to anything, it just hangs out of the back of a harness. I'm betting this needs to be connected to a wire somewhere, but I have no idea where. Can anyone help?

Here is the antenna wiring diagram:

And here is the Teyes diagram: note the blue wire I am speaking of is G8.

Maybe G8 to pin 14 on the Auto Antenna Control Relay? Maybe pin 12?

Blue wire might actually be an antenna in the wire harness for the Teyes - I'd double check.
As for the radio - there are two radio apps for some reason. One that deploys with the FM button on the center console, and another that you can navigate to on screen. The on screen selected version worked better for me and also auto triggered the antenna for me. Not sure if you've given this a try.

Thanks. I did find the other radio app that deploys when the FM button is pressed on the original unit below. What’s weird is that app makes the antenna function; however, I get no audio and none of the on screen buttons respond.

The main radio app on the home screen works fine, I just want it to make the auto antenna function for better reception.

If the antenna raises when the FM button is pressed, that seems to be the power trigger. However, it opens an apparently obsolete radio app. So the problem seems to lay in the T'eyes programing right?

Ah got it got it - yeah I wonder if the app that opens on the FM button press can be remapped to the other app somehow. Unfortunately I'm the wrong person to help on this subject. I ended up deleting my antenna assembly and shoving an air hose through that hole instead :p

I emailed T'eyes. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

An airhose huh? That seems extreme.

:p

Im finally thinking about picking one of these up since they seem to work pretty reliably.

Does Teye's ever do sales? Or is the price on their site basically what it always is?

Since it's related, I discovered when i powered on my rear radio (located in the center console rear facing) the power antennae raises. Works for listening to radio on t'eyes radio app. Possibly another trigger avenue, but not sure what models have the rear audio mine is a 2005 lx. Shuts off after each key cycle too.

I checked out the rear radio, and you’re right. When you press the power button, it gives power to the antenna, the dash “up/down” button then is functional, it doesn’t switch to the other radio app, and the good radio app has improved reception!

Now, how to have the T’eyes radio power wire function to power the antenna rather than the rear radio?

I'm thinking that if I splice the gray ACC wire (going into the rear radio) with the T'Eyes antenna power wire I should have an antenna that powers up when I open the T'eyes radio app. I would have to leave the rear radio controls power on all the time, but it would turn off when the T'Eyes radio is not in use. I'll test this idea when I have time. Am I totally out of left field?

I just purchased the TPMS sensors for my T'eyes. There's zero instructions but from reading reviews it sounds plug and play. I even had to pull my radio back out of the dash to confirm i was plugged into the correct usb port.
I get nothing at all, doesn't seem to be a tpms app or setting anywhere within the head unit. Anyone successfully installed these?

All of the Teyes accessories are sensitive to which port they are plugged into.
There should be a TPMS APK already installed, if not you should be able to get one from the Teyes support side. I did get it to work with a 3rd party pack from Amazon, but I had to disable the native APK so I could install the 3rd party app.
You might also want to make sure your OS is up to date, since that should reinstall the APK too.

Thanks for the quick reply! Updating APK's had done nothing, but i was able to find the TPMS APK as you mentioned, and manually install it. Seems to be working, will know for sure when the sensors are installed later

edit: Works after install, Nice to be able to see pressure and temperature, will see if its reliable long term

Do you have an LC or a Lexus LX470? System works better in the Lexus. For the LC, you need to change out the Amp.

Interesting! I forget I even have the rear radio!
When I first installed the Teyes unti, the power antenna would only go down when the car was powered off. Thought something might be wire incorrectly. I randomly disconnect the Teyes OBD sensor to install a shop OBD scanner and then the power antenna went down when the radio was off.

My antenna is always down, unless I turn on the rear radio, like discussed above. I use the radio so infrequently, I’ve just been turning on the rear radio when I need the antenna.
