I scrounged a brake booster from salvaged Lexus LX450 and am trying to determine what year, if it had ABS and 4 or 2 wheel disc brakes. The VIN is JT6HJ88JXV0168187. Can someone help me with answers to these and any other pertinent info as I'm a 40 guy....no very little about any of the other models? I was told this is the same as an 80-series. Search turned up some interesting stuff, but nothing to answer my questions.

TIA
Dave

if it came from a LX450, then it had ABS and 4 wheel disc brakes as they came no other way

Is there a way to tell from this VIN if it has 2 or 4 wheel ABS? Sorry for the ignorent silly-arse question. 5 minutes ago I knew absolutely nothing about 80's.

Side note, any chance the yard had the rims?

What's the name of the yard, if you don't mind revealing its location.

Infojunky- I won't take the rims.

2 wheel ABS never existed in the 80/450 line. 4 wheel was standard equipment from 95-up and optional on 93-94. There is no specific digit in the vin as an identifier. If the 93-94 has disc brakes all-around it has ABS.

Not to be a dick, I can't say right now for reasons I prefer not to share. Once I resolve these I will be happy to say. Remaining that I saw was the rad, AC compressor, alt, MC, rear axle, body, engine & tranny. Maybe more, I was only interested in the booster. They may have some of the missing items in storage.
