This is the LX owners superiority thread 
I recently met a cool GX owner who had that “it’s basically a Land Cruiser” sticker on his GX. I guess a prado is basically a Land Cruiser in some parts of the world but I had always assumed this was for the LX.
And there is always the “ hey how’s your Land Rover running ”.
the GX community adopted that sticker. I dont know how the sticker originated but the GX group looked at it as the fact that the Prado is not a real land cruiser, but that people who don't know what they are talking about like to tell others "its basically a land cruiser." So now its become a running joke.
I just saw I drive a Land Cruiser (I have an LX). Anyone who cares will ask more. Most people don't.
If you get the rare case of someone who doesn't really care but does ask to keep the convo going, they're usually surprised when you say it's a Lexus....

I tell them, unlike a real Land Rover, my replica actually runs.
It’s most annoying at the Toyota dealer when I’m buying parts.

Not anytime soon... The fit and finish are nowhere near ready. Stay tuned.
I’ve even had some car people mix the two up. I think you really have to be either a Toyota or 4x4 aficionado to really understand and appreciate Land Cruisers.But then when you say you drive a Land Cruiser, keep in mind that most normal non-car people think you drive a Land Rover / Range Rover when you say Land Cruiser.

I ask, do you know what a “Toyota Landcrusier is?” If the response is yes, I just say “ok I have the same thing, just the Lexus version that’s a tad more refined and polished.” If they respond no, I just say a Lexus LX SUV, and try to end it there. If they don’t know what LC is there is no point in even attempting to explain it to them.
