JTJHT00W974023775 | 2007 Lexus LX 470 for sale in Raleigh, NC | CARFAX

PROS-
-2007
-white- Color I want
-spent its time in SE
-always serviced at lexus dealership

Cons
-260k miles!
-price of 15k
-sold by a shady dealer who most likely lives to bend over people
-15k price
-needs 90k service
-looks like it needs tires

Thoughts? Price seems too high, but its local and is an 07.

looks like the truck got all its service from johnson lexus in raleigh. 90k service per johnson lexus was done twice. its coming up again... no reported wrecks and complete service records are compelling. my guess is the dealer knows it and priced it accordingly.

Wait you mean the third 90k service??? Still not worth 15k IMHO. I would be in the 12k range, but then again i would find something with fewer miles.

last 90k service was at 183k miles done in 2013. it will be coming up soon...

No way!

fxxx auburn :-)

Create an account on the Lexus Drivers Site and put in the VIN. There will be more detail there than CarFax. Keep your eyes peeled for "Customer Declined" records. Price seems reasonable per kbb.com. Call up the Lexus dealer and get a quote for TB, WP, seals, pulleys, tensioner and fan bracket. Use that to negotiate the price down $1K-$2K.

anyone have a quote from a lexus dealer showing the pricing breakdown of a 90k service? thanks!

Price is probably within the ball park if the car is perfect mechanically and recent 90k. I personally think you can get a better deal/value on a lower mile or older one one. But it's really all about condition the vehicles bought, repairs and maintenance adds a up quick.

90k service price will probably be $2k plus at a dealer, with all parts, tensioner, crank seal, idlers, etc.

went and saw this truck. its very clean. wife likes it a lot... couple of questions:

My guess is these didn't get done :-)

also TPMS light won't cut off, and the airbag light is on.

Plus side, its a clean clean truck, and dealer will do the 90k service before selling it to me.

Just for comparison, a few weeks ago, I went to a local - small dealer to see a 06 LX with 275K in very good shape considering the miles. Found several problem: need new radiator, plastic headlights are yellowed, and PS mirror will not close. Tires are good, and 90 miles is not due. AHC seems to work fine. The dealer wants 9K. Black exterior with grey interior. Good service records from Lexus dealer. Minimal rust underneath.

I really like it, and was about ready to buy but decided that I do not want another black car. I have had two black cars, and just hard to keep them clean. The dealer - person who showed me the car also kinda shady. Insisted the radiator was just flushed, and they spilled the coolant. There were pink crust on top of the radiator showing that it is leaking. Lol I am not that dumb.

15K is high imo.

Look down here in FL esp Naples, Fort Myers & Sarasota. I post this often when peeps ask for price advice: I paid 14 for mine back in Nov 2014 with 56k miles and garage kept , well maintained condition.

roger that. truck price is now 14k.

Having a dealer you described as shady do the 90k service would not be a selling point for me especially if the cam seals on a vvti are leaking. I suspect they'll do the bare minimum using non-OEM parts unless they farm the work out to the Lexus dealer.

I'd ask for money off the sale price and have the work done somewhere else if you move forward with this one. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback... I actually like the dealer, and it appears he has a ton of repeat business. He swears by this guy that he works with to do the job.

this will be a DD for my wife. what issues in the future do you think ill be dealing with?

I think the price is ok at 14k with all that work done. I did a ppi with my mechanic, crawled all over and under the truck, and its pretty damn clean.
