Dont you just love seeing a cruiser in a parking lot and meeting the owner after you stalk his or hers rig. I saw this sweet 66 fj40 today and just had to pull over and check it out, after a few minutes of chit chat IH8MUD came up, imagine that! anyway got a new cruiser pal out of the deal

Hey guys hows things? Been sooooooo busy being back in school I have had no time to mud.... anyway I have a question.

The 40 build I have been helping on over the last year has given me a new project a rear fuel cell. So what we have is a 76 FJ40 with no fuel tank. To compound the issue the rear axle is swapped out for a 60 axle. So here is my question, are these on the shelf made to order or is this a custom fab deal? I know this is the 60s forum, but I wanted to say hi and ask you guys too. Thanks

PS check the link in my sig for pictures

I am thinking about doing the Ammo Box console conversion but am just wondering for those who have done it, any regrets?

Installed it a year ago and have no regrets at all. just don't rest your iPhone on it on a hot day or else... IT WILL FRY!

Haha THANK YOU!!! Glad i could help someone out instead of post my usual BS :)

Damn, every time I read a thread with a dune beige Cruiser I get the itch to paint mine!!!

Nice ammo can console, I mounted mine on its side, and mounted a small 12V cooler in top of it so I have a perfect height arm rest. I can still access the can from the back seat, great spot for the winch control cable.

If you haven't found a way to wire your roof rack lights yet, or next time you feel the need... Grab a few of these to save you some wiring headaches!!
