so a few times over the last few years I have had a few people come up to me in person or online and offer to buy my rig. I was not really wanting to sell it for a number of reasons. My return to school had made me look at an economy rig since my commute has gotten much larger. So yesterday dude comes up to do some work on our house and he says he wants to buy my rig for 10k. My question is what would you do? I feel like its more than fair but dang I dont want to lose this 60

Does your 60 have a ramjet+H55f?

I don't know what it's worth but DON'T sell it! ;)

Same thing happened when I sold my motorcycle. Kid walked up to me and offered a fair price. I wasn't looking to sell, but money was tight at three time. Thought about it for a day and came to the conclusion that I could but another one later. So I sold it and lifted that burden off my shoulders. Sucked for the first week, but life went on.

If you need the money then do it. In the end they are really just material goods. We put an emotional value on them. If it makes more sense to get a commuter at this point in your life then your foolish to turn down a solid offer. If you can afford to comfortably keep it then keep it. I say any doubts and you need to sell it.

^^^ I retract my first response, this guys response is way wiser!

Touch decision man. I sold my tundra to get a commuter. Although, still have the 40 as a back up.

It's pretty nice going from 13 mpg to 27 mpg for my drive to Wilsonville everyday and that doesn't make me miss the Tundra a whole lot. When you're in market for a commuter let me know, my girlfriends dad owns a dealership in Salem and he can help find you something if you want.

Yeah that is a hard decision. As firephil said, we end up getting attached to these material items for whatever sentimental reason and that weighs heavy on us when times are tough. I loved my Pathfinder, it was a great car, wasn't pretty but worked, got decent gas mileage, could hold my mtn bike securely, and was there. However with the economy the way it is, me being laid-off last year and then taking a very large pay cut just to have money/food/house and over all a friend in dear need we decided to sell. I have been commuting to work by bike since (with the occasional day of stealing the car from the wife). Yes it does suck in some respects due to the fact that I dont have a car, but I also just turned over 500 miles on my road bike from pedaling my butt to work each day. I have healthier than I have been in a while and I love that I have the ability to do this.

Most of all, things have loosened up again and now I am going to be able to pick up a cruiser in the coming months. So things will come back around. No you may not have that same cruiser again but chances are if you loved this one that much, the next will be that much more of a love affair.

I feel crazy for even entertaining the thought

I dont Need the money, but at the same time I could use it, and I feel like the 10k is more than fair.

Eh... if the need was not there to get rid of the truck then it worked out as it should. So whatcha going back to school for?

So my two bro In-laws and I are planning a trip to eastern oregon (bend) for the end of this month. 4-5 days of drinking, fishing and running our rigs around on some easy trails. We all plan on driving our own rigs which will be a 2012 4runner and a 87 RangeRover. My Question is do any of you bend guys have a recommendations on where we should go, I have spent some time there but none off road. Any ideas guys?

These are the rigs
