Toyopeen (Toyota High Performance Penetrating Lubricant is the official name) blows PB Blaster away. Kroil does too. I have a VERY rusty FJ62 and I go through a LOT of penetrating oil. I've used just about every brand on the market, and my current technique is to use some brake or carb cleaner to blast away grease and dirt followed by alternating applications of Kroil and Toyopeen. It's like magic. Kroil penetrates better but the Toyopeen is very slippery. Previously stuck nuts and bolts turn off amazingly easy and smooth. I've broken off very few bolts since I started the combination technique.

You can get Kroil by mail order: http://www.kanolabs.com and Toyopeen at the dealer: part number 00530-1PL00

Check at your local truck stop for the Lucas FI cleaner..... I bought a gallon jug of it for $19.99 at a Pilot truck stop in SC :D

Glad I could help everyone... Good luck.

Jody.

I got some of this stuff, on the advice of this forum, have yet to put it in, but will do so tonight, I purchased it from the local NAPA for eight bucks and some change, it's enough to treat 100 gallons of gasoline,, :flipoff2:

Well, the final FINAL result is in and the LUCAS cleaner did not help out with my idle miss. It seems to stop it while it's in the tank, but the effect is gone when the cleaner is gone. So, back to a regular miss at idle in Park. I ran 2 treated tank fulls through and found this pattern both times.

So the Lucas cleaner drops back off my list of things to use.

I use a can of Sea Foam every oil and filter change (5K miles) and no idle problem with 130K + miles. You might give it a try.

Yooper turn off your headlights in the daytime dude. A guy can't look at this site at work with that going on.

a bottle of the toyota fuel injection cleaner did nothing I could notice, but then I don't have an idle miss.

does anything really decarbonize inside the block once you get carbon build up? I went for an oil flush when I purchased but am skeptical of all the snake oil out there.

Also, where is Cary on this post? He should have intervened a while ago.

OK. It was fun while it lasted. Hope I didn't get anybody in trouble.:whoops: Maybe I'll use it on Pirate instead.

Now I'm thinkin' about tearing my motor down :'(

:flipoff2:

Um, guys, I assume there are no women working for you who actually studied sexual harassment in law school? I believe they call it a "sexualized" workplace environment or something. Ever seen the latest Snap-On tools calender on the wall at a law office?

UNCLE........ :flipoff2:

:whoops: forget this one :flipoff2:

Nobody looks at this place from work anyway..........

This is not posting a calander on the wall. Or, even a girly wallpaper on your computer. This is a privite e-mail site with a picture beyond your control. That would be like someone sueing you because a pop-up ad appeared. I don't think you could get anyone anywhere to tell you that an avatar on a site you visit could be sexual harrassment unless you asked someone to look at it.
The chest in the picture is CLOTHED and it's tiny. Well, the picture is tiny anyway. ;)

If it offends anybody on the site, it should be removed. If it, or something else offends you, PM me and I'll try to get it taken care of. (I can't do anything about Junk :flipoff2:) If you are worried about offending somebody somewhere in the world, absolutley not.

Gumby,

I am wondering whether to answer because I do not want to enter a big debate or get into a freedom of expression issue. I do not think I have a right to demand that anybody do anything. I had meant it to be a gentle comment in a post leaving it up to Yooper. If it came across as stronger than that, I am sorry. Simple fact is that if many more of these avatars appear, I cannot access the site at work because someone else here might be offended (I am not) and I am pretty sure I am not alone. No matter how much I disagree with them, the resulting problem of a complaint is not worth the hassle. It's not just being sued. We have a committee dedicated to this which any employee can approach, plus you can make a human rights complaint. People just walk into my office all the time. It is not a surprise pop up I have not had time to close. I would be choosing to access the site even though I know those things appear on the site. If the images are considered offensive by others in the workplace, I can get in trouble for voluntarily displaying them just as if I put up a tool calender and claimed it was so I would know what day it is. It sucks, but that is the way it is.

Maybe Woody can suggest a way to disable avatars. Otherwise if it becomes a problem I will just access after hours only. I will not say another word about it.

Man I wish I could remember Yooper's avator. Shortbus and Rogue's, yes they stick in my mind. :p

I hope the fish huggers don't mind my fish avator. :)

Yooper is this avator still around somewhere? I need to see what the fuss is. If guys a begging to have it back, it must have been good.

I'll ask Woody about it. I wouldn't want you to lose your ability to access it at work. Hell, it keeps me sane during the day.
Lemme see what can be done.

I'll play Devil's advocate for a bit. If I understand the workplace environment issue correctly, it relates to creating or sustaining a "hostile work environment" and it doesn't matter a damn if it does or doesn't really. All that matters is if the "offended party" thinks it does. That sounds stupid, but that's the way it is.

I think the point Simon is making is that although he really doesn't care, he can't afford to have a client or other person that may be near his screen piss a fit about what's on it. So if potentially bad bits are laying about, he has to wait to go home to find out.

Simon, I hope I didn't put words in your mouth but that's what I got out of it. I do have an idea though, if you pop in as a "visitor" the avitars DO NOT display.......these( :flipoff2: ) still do though.
