Howdy boys, I’m in a tight spot. I’m adding a Vintage Air AC unit and Electric fan to my FJ43 while I’m rewiring it. I just installed the condenser to the Core Support and put it in place to see if it will clear the grill and to see if the electric fan motor would clean the water pump pulley. As you can see from the pictures I need another 2.25” of clearance. I’m going throw on the grill to see if I have room to move everything forward, but I really doubt I have room because of the condenser.

Is anyone aware of a super low profile water pump/pulley? As always your input is very appreciated.

I think there are thinner electric fan assemblies and you would likely due better with a pusher unit on the front.

Once the condenser is in I doubt there is an inch of clearance.
Question; why did you choose an electric fan, I run a newer plastic fan with a thermostatic clutch and an FJ 60 water pump….the combo works well on the F with the Vintage AC.

Your water pump is the tallest one used in the 40. The clutch-drive-fan water pumps are definitely a lot squatter.

as stated, the electric fan could be slimmer and the water pump is the long snout
the inner groove of the crank pulley is narrow, that could be an issue also

2 questions,
why an electric fan?
how are the belts going to be routed?
