Nope, most likely the circuit inside the tank. The fuel pump assembly has both circuits on it. Pull the fuel pump and check or install new assembly to solve it.

Just unplugging harness at the tank will net info, if the light goes out, the problem is in the tank, if not it's harness or cluster.
Thanks... so it sounds like there is a separate circuits for the low fuel level and the gauge. (the gauge works fine).
I'll try disconnecting the sender at the tank and see what happens.
thanks for the help.
Im having the same issue. Did you guys resolve this?
I haven't yet looked into mine...but I suspect I will find either chaffed wiring or a problem with the sending unit (in tank) itself. Mine started out being intermittent...but then became a steady 'on' light at the dash.
I changed out the send ing unit for a ne wone couple months ago and my problem just started about after some wheeling. Let me know what uf find if you ever find it and ill do the same.
Same here. I read somewhere in these forums that one of the other lights in the cluster participates in the circuit with the low level indicator. They implied that an led in that position would have less resistance, and send more juice to the low level bulb. Haven't tried going back in there yetMine started doing that when I replaced a few of the bulbs with LEDs. No solution yet

Ah - mine's steady, but definitely started as soon as I put the cluster back in with LEDs in a few positions (not that one, since it needed to dim). Haven't gone back in, holding out for a better theory than just rolling all the lights back to OEM. Let us know if get a win on this one.Interesting.....might have to break out my EWD and look into that....but one thing that challenges that, is that mine in intermittent. I wouldn't think that an LED light would cause that at times and then not.
I did this and you were correct. Pictured are when plugged in and then when not plugged in. Thank you.Just unplugging harness at the tank will net info, if the light goes out, the problem is in the tank, if not it's harness or cluster.
