Could your "downshift" actually be your radiator fan engaging?=normal

hadn't thought of that, but seems unlikely. it literally feels like i lose all power to the ground, ie, a "slip", then back to normal. now one thing i had noticed recently, and forgot to mention, it does seem as if the slip happens about the same time that the power goes out on me for a second, so maybe they are related?
