Yes I did not buy the car yet , I was planning to and doing my research for it

You should have started with the Ad.

It appears that it has factory lockers (dash switch). I think I can see the front locker, but not the rear locker. You definitely want to confirm that it has locked axles and that they work.

It has a replacement aftermarket carpet.

Appears to be missing the engine ground that goes to the firewall = engine has been out.

Battery is loose (meaning hardly driven).

Gas and Hood latch releases are switched = dash has been pulled.

Personally, I would pass. Look for something with much less rust.

How does this rust happen? Is this a common rust area for 80-series? This is not the first truck I’ve seen posted here with rust along that upper edge of the hatch. I’m scratching my head trying to understand what would cause that area to rust?

No idea, but edges can have thinner paint. My guess, based on the rust, is this truck lived near the beach most of its life. Constant salty air blowing over the roof. I mean, it has rust in areas that I don't normally see...

My 180K mile Northeast truck does not have rust there.
