This is the bill I have for the PO who just put the new leather in mine. Its very nice and seems high quality. Time will tell.

Pictures please!

I do wish I had the 3rd row seats in mine and that they had been redone with the others, so now when I do find a set the likelihood of them matching is slim. I don't know how close to original this color is but it looks good to me!

and the door armrest covers and center console covers,
This past spring I had the leather replaced in my 97 LX450. I paid $1500 for the same front, back armrest and console covers installed. I believe it was around the same $1000.00 for the leather kit. From what I was told when I ordered from the Lexus parts department, I got the last driver seat foam which was in a west coast warehouse. I am very happy with the results.

Most local upholstery shops should have connections for providing replacement leather kits for trucks. The shop I used does convertible tops, sunroofs and will put leather kits in brand new vehicles for most of the major car companies.

If your seat foams are compressed (and not totally falling apart) you can just steam the cushions to bring them back up to "new" condition before you install the leather.
Probably a good idea to do it with all the foam on seats this old anyway. It will make it the leather fit much better.

I picked up some nice Oregon aero foam to build up my old foam. Just haven't found a good reference on how to do that with an eye to relieving some lower back pain.....

That and not having the actual new leather seats yet.

Any updates on this?

bump for up-dates...my LX-450 needs covers bad...

considering Iseat.com, I like the price!

will see if metric tlc gets back to me...lol

For the folks asking for "updates", what updates are you asking for? This thread has a lot of information in it.
I'm pretty damn happy with the Lseat product in my LX450. I logged a lot of seat time this winter and my only regret is that I didn't have time to hook up the seat heaters before the weather got nasty around here. Now that it's starting to thaw, I'll get around to it.

Jon, I like your reply for iseat.com, Im going to order fronts this week

Just emailed them (lseat) the other day asking if they offered front kits for the 80 series. Got a quick reply too. They said they do sell 80 kits.

That's great news. Now, do we know the color matches for the tan and gray interiors?

Since you're trying to match 18-20 year old leather, one size will not fit all as far as colors go. Just ask for a sample card and pick your color.
