I'm looking for a lunette for my M100/416 trailer. What I really need is the stub of one I can modify. I have the original, but don't want to chop it because I use it on my Jeep with a pintle hitch.
I need to make the stub into a ball assymb to fit her Explorer's bumper mounted ball hitch. :censor: If it were not for it being on her bumper and not a box hitch I would be set.
Thanks,
Matt

Check out the trailer forum section on G503.com You may find somebody restoring a trailer with a chopped up lunette laying in the scrap pile.

I saw one the other day with the lunette intact, but it had a ball receiver over it. It was a bolt on converter unit. Don't know if it was mfg or homemade. Basically it was 2 solid circles clamped over the lunette via 4 bolts with the ball hitch welded/bolted to one of the circles. You might check into that. It'd be easy to fab one up. It would prolly work with 3 bolt and could be changeable in under 5 minutes.

Funny, I just posted in the parts wanted section for an intact one. There is a really wide range of prices on the intact ones. $75 to like, $475. Obviously the guy was out of the $75 NOS ones he had listed. :meh:
