I got the main supports on the frame side cut today. They will be boxed on the top and have angle braces back down to the frame as well. There is a reason for this particular design, any guesses as to what the reason is?

Driveshaft / steering column / links clearance?

Looks good Stan!

Hey Ramon, your third guess is correct. It will allow the upper link on the three link to clear at full stuff.

James, you can have my old band saw if you want it. Needs a metal blade.

If James doesn't want it, I'll take it off your hands :)

Very cool! The 60 isn't driveable (carb prob got worse and my new one won't be in until mid oct.) so you think it'd fit in the jetta? Right next to the tubing bender? haha

James, If it does not fit as is the leg set is not too difficult to remove.

So many Toyotas, so little time:)

The 62 is stored here by a customer

I'll be building a swing out bumper on a 60 here shortly, and a pair on a BJ42 as well.

I know i'm saying that what Brett really wants in that thing is a 4bt:grinpimp:

I am with you now, little slow on the uptake. I am up to my ears in projects right now so I was not even thinking along those lines. I've not talked with Brett about what he is planning for the 62.

I know Jerry was looking at an old bread truck to get a 4BT.

When did you get a 40? :)

The truggy is looking awesome! :)

Drove up to Pittsburg two weeks ago today and picked up the 40.

The truggy is going slooooooooow.

Well it's better that you take your time and do it right.

Then you won't have random wire harnesses falling onto a header and making smoke billow out in Harlan....haha!

You should have told them you were Insect Control and billed them :)

Right now it is both a time and money slow down, just a ton of stuff with house, shop and new business. I have been pretty busy at the shop, sitting here with a set of micro drill bits cleaning out the head to my paint gun. Oh what fun.

Hows the 4 Runner? I saw that you broke off the end of the hub, just a random shot? Where did you get the wheels and tires for the Runner? You mentioned $1,500, was that just the tires?

I need to get the T-case parts and then tires are next. I hate putting up that much money so eary for something that won't be used until the end, but having the tires helps tons through the build, cant really do without them.

Did you see Ruger? James' new puppy?

I think it was $1800 wheels and tires. I got them from 4WheelParts when they were having a sale. They also do a military discount, another reason I use them. :)

Thomas got a replacement hub after Harlan from a forum member on nc4x4 and we were able to do another run in Uwharrie before he destroyed the clutch. Haha...I guess 39.5" iroks and dual cases will do that...

I saw Ruger...he is a mini lighter Buster! Sooooooooooo cute! :)

I got a lot of the T-case cross member done today. I am more interested in the frame mounted pieces over the cross member itself. It will rotate 180 degrees on the cross member to be installed, the T-case and trans will drop out from under the rig.

There will be bracing between the 2X3 and the plate and a bolt top to bottom in shown hole. 11.5 " between the mounts, 24" between the frames. The side plates held up with the magnets weld to the frame for extra support.

This is the cross member tacked together not in the location where it will be installed.
