Are those hubs?
Looks fairly rust free for a 62 thats been out in the weather.
Great find, the last FJ40 I found sitting behind a house there wasn't a floor board in the thing.

Kevin

Ya there locking hubs. I found them in the back in the Warn boxes
I also found Specter and Man a Fre catalogs from way back. Too Cool

Neil, treeroot's got a thread in this forum with old Motor Trend photos in it. If you look closely, the rig in the pic has the same hubs.

Imagine that!;p

I will bring my 40 to Dusy if Ross will let me.:frown:

Is the original bumper and tail lights under that bumper? It looks like the newer bumper is on right over the original bumpettes.

Nice score, you even have manuals with it. Thats' a 2 for 1 deal:cheers: I even like how your rig sits, but I'm not a big fan of the front bumper.

Notice anything odd about that gas cap? How about that air intake in the apron? You've got a pretty early '61. What's the VIN? Take a shot at the Oldest FJ40 Thread

And throw those Husky hubs far, far away.............there's a reason that design didn't survive.

Yes the original bumper is there. Previous owner put a piece of diamod plate on top of the bumperette's. Not sure if the lights that are there are original or not

White speedo too!! ya, you need to get that intake working again. Hunt down the correct air filter and get an intake hose from Cruiser_nerd. Ditch the spin off oil filter too. Get a used canister filter from someone. The electric pump isnt stock. Ditch it and get a Kyosan

Only 200 after the ones posted in the other thread, you've got an old one. Another vote for keeping it stock, you've got a lot of the hard to find stuff. :D

That pump is real old aftermarket. I found one that looked just like it on a '53 Chevy convertible we were restoring. The one we had ran on 6 volts, and at the bottom of that label was a smaller label with a maker's name. Don't remember the name but I'd never heard of it.

Mike, got a pic of the correct vintage air cleaner? I've got this ONE air cleaner assembly that I'm not sure about. IIRC, it's several inches shorter from the can end to the carb end, and the tube that connects them is smoother than the typical oil bath ones on my 64 and 65. Would that be it?
