The only tricky thing was calibrating the fuel float rod so the fuel gauge would read correctly. The mechanic helped me with that and just kind of eyeballed it. It turned out pretty good. The fuel gauge does not go all the way to the top which is a little annoying, but it reads correctly at the bottom which is more important.
Are you saying that the prescribed 75mm float arm extension in the install guide is not correct?

to be honest, he messed with the length a bit to adjust the point at which the low fuel light would come on. i hate to say it but i don't remember his reasoning, but i am thankful i get the low fuel light a bit sooner. the instructions were/are correct. sorry about that, i can see how my poor articulation made you think that.
It was a pretty easy job. it took me about 3 hours of actual work. that's not including reading directions, getting tools, accessing the top of the tank, and all the buttoning up of parts and pieces at the end.

No change in my feelings for this product and modification. besides suspension, wheels n rubber, this has been the best thing I have done to the truck. I easily get 500 miles on a tank of gas.
