What are you doing for the rear view camera. I was thinking about researching into something that would bluetooth to my Tab A.

Just a wire run down the drivers side and out under the truck to the rear 4X4 Labs bumper - I've a 2 DIN head unit (The Sony XAV-AX100) that has a video in for the camera.

It's not hooked up yet but the cable is sitting behind the dash - I'll run it as I replace the carpet - hopefully in the next few weeks as it's sitting in my basement :D

Progress, and more parts. I am one of those "essential" members of society so I eek out what time I can to get this done.

Well this is a new one for me. I serviced the brakes roughly 3 years ago. Maybe have 10-15,000 miles on them. The rear bleeder on this one is rusted solid inside, annnnnd it snapped when trying to remove it.

Parking brakes are complete. I just need to put the stop nut on the adjustable stop. I am using the assembled compilation of OEM parts sold as a kit by Joey Complete Parking Brake Kit FZJ80 . Their are a few parts in this kit that are not necessary unless doing a complete restoration ( some axle bracketry ). I will probably install the brackets even though the 30 year old ones are still serviceable.

Getting close to being done with the maintenance. About to start some ARB bumper mods, rock lights, and rear storage build. Being essential during a pandemic slows the process down. I am thankful I do still have a job during these times though, as many others do not.

Added the extra parking brake brackets that came in the Wits End kit, with the exception of one cable bracket. Tomorrow after work it’s the calipers and pads, then brake system bleed.

#StanceLife is what the flat bills would say right??? Almost ready for Raptor Liners in Cement Gray. Looks like I need 37s now.

Fun times, things are happening. Chrome bits will now be black, grill as well. Going to modify the ARB bumper a bit as well. The 4x4 Labs bumper, sliders, mirrors and ARB bumper will be Raptor lined black. For posterity sake. The bottles of Raptor liner are 611ML, you add 250ML of hardener and 43ML of the desired color (adjust to your preference)

Got it all coated. Now to do the sliders and ARB black. Extremely happy with how it has turned out with zero painting or coating experience.

That's looking awesome - strong work.

How long did the prep and paint take you ?

My clear is getting pretty shot and I've to decide at some point what path to take.

Prep took a couple days to do it right. Putting it all back together is taking longer. Old Army injuries and rain is making it slow going, but progress is being made.

A weeee bit of progress. ARB bumper cleaned up and raptor lined. Starting the tear down to recover the front seats, arms rest, center console with leather from LSeat.

Good work and attention to detail here. I’m across the Columbia River 20 miles and always eager to go wheeling.

I was putting the Parttime kit on my list of must do's. Thanks for the insight!
While researching part-time kits, I read that after water crossings, it is manufacture recommended to re-grease the hubs. The thought of adding to the maintenance list helped me step away from the computer and put down the credit card for once.

Your build is impressive. Nice work putting together a capable truck.

I am beyond happy with how this one turned out. Now to install the new Pioneer speaker, then replicate it on the passenger side.
