I'll be there pending anything catastrophic.

We've done just fine with CBs and cheapo hand helds for years, no interest in HAM. Maybe some day when we have everything else we want for our truck.
I got a CB and FRS already so I'm not adding a 3rd option. If I had neither sure but not at this point. Not wanting to start another radio debate like last year though. Keeping my focus on the event itself

Ditch frs, go with ham!!

Registration will be live tomorrow. Working through technical difficulties getting the new system to work the way I want.

We are "in" in some shape or form. :)

Just checked the calendar and that's my weekend to work so I definitely won't be camping : ( I will try and come down some time Saturday and hangout for the rest of the day

The benefits of HAM cannot be emphasized enough. When served with green eggs you will like HAM in the following locations:

In boat, with goat, in rain, on train, in tree, in car, in box, with fox, in house, with mouse, here, there, everywhere.

That said, I plan to be at Logan's Run. I will be happy to sign kids' books as well.

Sincerely,

Theodor Geisel

Guess I have a deadline to get that new radiator in by. In with family this year.

Registration is now OPEN!!!

Tested by yours truly. Call/text/PM/email me with issues, but it should work just fine. Back to a more basic system this year so that people can add t-shirts and raffle tickets easily.

Olde North State Cruisers

DONE!

And the cart/options/checkout process was seamless.... Nice job Johnny.

I'm afraid to register :bang:

Thanks everyone :D It felt good seeing the registration emails this morning!!

It might be obvious at this point, but I neglected to allow people to specify t-shirt sizes. When I'm ready to collect that info, I'll send an email out to each person who registers not only to confirm their registration but also to collect shirt sizes.

Thanks again!!

After this weekend's HCOR (for some reason my receive only handheld started Tx'ing), I think we have converts in Mr. Weller and Mr. Free...

Amazon.com: BaoFeng UV-5R Dual Band Two Way Radio (Black): Cell Phones & Accessories

Maybe we should pick some up for the raffle???

been on board and converted for a while now (and thats the unit i have) .... Just need the final piece to complete the legal side of puzzle.

Really no comparison between ham and FSR for clarity and distance

I want to see as many people licensed as possible and I'm willing to help anyone. But, I think it's really not a good idea to give away radios that require a license to random people. I'm pretty involved in the hobby and there are real problems since those cheap chinese radios started getting popular. I'd be glad to explain more in another thread.

CB radio is what's listed under the evaluated items on the inspection form. Mounted CB's with antennas actually work pretty well, maybe we can include those in the raffle.

I'm signed up. I'll also be the photographer for this shindig, so I guess I'd better show up :)
