Hi:

Can you decipher whether a Cruiser has lockers by the VIN?
Moreover, is there a link on making sense of a Cruiser VIN?

Thanks,

BRnPA

A294 i think. Not totally sure.

EDIT: actually i think that's the code on the door plate.

The vin does not have the axle code within it. A Toyota dealer can "pull up" the vehicle using the vin and see what the factory equipment is.

The door tag has the axle code on it. K294 is locking axles. K292 (except in my vehicle :D ) is open axles.

I knew dan would know. Still crack up when i look at Dan's avatar and the guy holding his package. hehehe

Actually other people than just Toyota dealers can lookup the VIN and see what options the vehicle was built with (also paint colors, etc). There are a couple of people on here that have the software to lookup a VIN, don't fully remember who all they were.
