Little Oil Pressure Help!

my meter is sayin i have a little bit o pressure but not much. just into the white area.

this all began when i left my lights on and the battery died one day. i got a jump from a friend and i had no pressure or amperage from there after. i drove 10 minutes home with no pressure and negative amperage.

I pulled the pan off and cleaned my oil pump up. it looks like a new Aisen pump. cleaned up real nice. only problem after takin it apart and puttin it back it still has no better pressure then b4. the amperage is still lower then usual but atleast its positive. there was oil comin out of the rockers but not strong. also when i rev it up the pressure stays the same.... very little. like i said its just barely getting into the white bar.

any ideas/ cures for low oil pressure and maybe why my amps are lower then usual. ive checked the sender and it seems to be good as does the pump but i could be wrong. PLEASE HELP! this is my daily driver

Put a mechanical guage on it and see....chances are the guages are on the fritze (temporary or not) because of your electrical issue.
Besides, electrical guages have a tendancy to run askew, put on a mech and forget about it

I would also make sure that the wire to the sending unit is acctually connected....If it is, try another sending unit....




If you have oil dribbling out of your rockers, I would bet that you have normal oil pressure....oil does not 'shoot' out of them...it only dribbles/weeps....

yea so it was a bad battery. it was strange tho it could start it but everything else got weird. (low pressure/ low amps) im just puttin the ending up for future problems that some might have.
