Purchase Rationale and Overall Objective:

I've always liked the Land Cruiser. GF was in service with Tundra and I asked her to see if they had any Land Cruisers while she was waiting. 09 turned in that day, two days later it was mine.

Goal is to have a reliable, tough, large, vehicle for daily driver. Have x2 little boys, x2 dogs and x1 HM GF. Loved the Tundra and want something that we can take off road occasionally. If I didn't care about performance I'd stick with stock everything else. But I do, so want to go to 20 inch wheels lower profile tires for my 99% on road use. That's my baseline, but will keep OEM wheels and tires to be able to play off road in near future.

What I've done thus far: Weathertech matts throughout, good tint all around including windshield (grt investment in FL), Wethertech vent visors, Custom GB plate for nose, hitch cover for rear (original owner lost or too lazy to throw in vehicle prior to trade in).

Already changed all filters and plugs. Plugs were not an insignificant effort, but a good way to learn in the engine bay....LOL

All suggestion (black 20" wheels/road tires) and questions welcome!

Number of comments on my Chinese/Russian thread, nothing on suggestion for LC200 20" road wheels. Again looking for some daily driver improvements while keeping stock wheels also for off-road.

Brand ideas for BLK 20" 5x150 wheels....please?

If there's already an extensive thread on this, please just pass that on.

Mucho Gracias

Check out Fuel wheels and Black Rhino.

Thanks for the lead. What's ur take on quality? Certainly lots of wheels out there. Found same results when I googled it. Just curious if there are some known quality standbys that are favorites within the cruiser community. Focusing on 20" blk and not a big fan of the intricate sculpted ones. I like the looks of the Black Rhino Everest and Traverse, as examples, but have zero experience with the company. Also like the XD Series Heist without knowing about quality.
Cheers,
LR

OEM quality is always excellent. Consider the 20s from a Lexus LX570 and have them powder coated black. I think they introduced a new wheel design for the 2013 LX which looks a little more unique. The 20s from a Toyota Sequoia Platinum are also not bad.

Almost everything aftermarket is made in China.

5x150 bolt patterns with 60mm offset are not that easy to find. XD wheels seem to have the best selection. I think you can do an offset down to 30mm and still have the wheels tucked in. Much beyond that and they will stick out of the wheel wells.

I have 20" wheels. Don't know where they originated from as there is a Toyota center cap. I personally want a set of 17" rock warrior wheels.

Read my thread on wheel decision. Very happy with my results. Wasn't sold on aftermarket wheels after research.

Here are my 20" wheels. Came on my LC200. Does anyone know if Toyota supplied them as an optional wheel. I even have one as a spare.

Nah no response. Maybe I should ask in the 100 section. Haven't removed them yet to do a search as there are no marks on the outside. It was done right though as the prior owner bought 5.

Someone near Tampa has a set of the Rock Warrior 17's I would like but he would only go down to 1k on the phone. I would rather pay closer to $800 as that is what I have seen others buy them for. I am taking into consideration that I will have to buy one more wheel at $450 from a dealer.

If u buy used make sure it's the updated version. I think they updated in '11 or '12. The part numbers are different. I bought new at $345 each not 450.

What is the difference with the update. Maybe that is a negotiation strategy.

From TRD: Old Part number was PTR45-34070. This is a new and improved version to help eliminate any field "clicking" issues. New part # PTR45-34120

CoffeeGeek- Found similar looking wheels on the web. None of them are true OEM. So maybe yours aren't?

Can anyone else confirm Toyota part number for "Europeans spec 20 in hers" for LC200.

They still look great. But leaning toward something that's OEM.

Funny that. I have a UK spec 2010 200 and the standard wheels here are 20". Funnily enough, I want to swap mine out for 17s!!! But due to a lack of supply and shipping costs, it's very expensive in the UK

Pilotman- Are your 20s the same as CoffeeGeeks above? If so do you have a Toyota part number? If so, would be interested in searching for US availability. If not, would love to see a pic of yours!
Cheers,
LR
