Does anyone see any issues with using an A440f from a left hand drive US cruiser in my right hand drive hzj77? I know I’ll have to fabricate a bracket for the shifter linkage, and I already know I have the correct input shaft for the 1hz.

I’ve just had no luck acquiring a transmission from a rhd truck. I thought I had an a442 hydro that was going to work, but it turned out to be electronic.

The transmissions aren’t sided. An FJ62 a440f will bolt right in.
You’ll want to use your diesel converter though - but have it rebuilt before installing. Are you are replacing the transmission due to a failure? If you simply re-use your converter from the failed unit you will just fill your replacement transmissions with all the junk from the old one.

You're positive that the A440 never had the linkage and other connectors swapped from left to right on RHD versions? The guy who is doing the replacement for me where I had the new one shipped said everything was definitely reversed, and according to google (which I know isn't always right) the LHD and RHD versions were switched. I can't confirm this because I haven't personally crawled under to view it with my own eyes, but I guess I can ask him to check again.

Can the things that attach to it (shift linkage, neutral safety switch, etc.) be swapped from side to side if there really is only one variant of the case?
